Traveling Overseers (Cars, benefits, etc.)

our do was over for dinner last night and he said that the wts is gonna stop leasing cars to the do and cos and is gonna use an international company to supply cars to all traveling overseers.

i wonder if they'll give them mercedes now.. .

also he was complaining about how they only get $50 monthly.

Our DO was over for dinner last night and he said that the WTS is gonna stop leasing cars to the DO and COs and is gonna use an international company to supply cars to all traveling overseers. I wonder if they'll give them Mercedes now.

Also he was complaining about how they only get $50 monthly. Where do they get money for gas? I don't see how it's possible to live off of $50.

Is there some sort of security for traveling overseers? I.e. would it be a good retirement plan?

hi everyone, i'm new here, been viewing the board for a while, decided to join yesterday.. so i'm about 95% convinced now the wts is bogus, but i'm still in coz as yall know leaving is the hardest part.

i plan on doing a fade to avoid the complete disconnection, but first want to gradually help my gf to see things too.

in the meantime, i'm just wondering how many of you are still "active" jdubs?

How can I know for sure that the WTS isn't God's organization?

i go back and forth everyday.

one day i'm like, "suppress your gay feelings and what you think is wrong about this organization and keep going forward because you want eternal life and all of your friends are here and it's as close to the truth as it can possibly get so just deal with it.

" others i'm like, "live your life.

Isn't this proof the GB doesn't believe what it preaches?

if the gb really thought they had the exact truth perfect from flaws, shouldn't they be telling their members, "go look at the apostate stuff-- you'll see it's all lies!

Just like a salesperson isn't going to tell you, "No! Don't go looking at the other store's prices ours are the best, I promise!" shouldn't the GB, if they firmly believe it's the truth, actually be ENCOURAGING people to compare? See all the "lies" the apostates tell?

They encourage it in the beginning to "compare" and rationalize. . .don't they think if they're 100% sure that their members are capable of reasoning to the point where they can weight the evidence in FAVOR of the WTS??

One day I'm like, "Suppress your gay feelings and what you think is wrong about this organization and keep going forward because you want eternal life and all of your friends are here and it's as close to the truth as it can possibly get so just deal with it." Others I'm like, "Live your life. This is BS, they've been wrong plenty of times, it's hypocrisy all over, etc."

I don't like the search function on this site because it doesn't seem to work too well for me. Where has the Watchtower Society gone wrong and why haven't the DO's and CO's who are especially bright and so well-versed in the scriptures not figure out it's a hoax (if it in fact is)?

i heard that bethel pays for brothers' undergrad and law school expenses if they serve as lawyers, is that true?

also, just to see the hypocrisy, would they accept someone who went to harvard law even if they weren't a regular pioneer?

I'm not sure how this got blown out of proportion, my question was not about whether Bethel provided scholarships. I was asking: if you went to Harvard law, would Bethel pretty much just accept you because they want your skillzzzz or would they really care more about your spirituality?
