  they 'served' our circuit back in the mid-90's.

  he was my pioneer school instructor also.

  i liked them - just wondered if anyone knows where they are now.

  time to leave after 42 yrs of marriage

  Kid's playing sports?

  anyone keep their kids from playing sports because of the borg?.

  when my son was 8 years old they had a t-ball league in the summer at the nearby park.

  because of the borg training we told him he couldn't play t-ball.. that kind of thinking just carried on throughout his life from junior high through high school.

  It sucks that we were not allowed to be a part organized sports, or anything social in school.

  I want my kids to be able to play whatever sport, or immerse themselves in whatever hobby they choose.

  Did/Does God answer your prayers?

  in my spiritual journey, which includes trying to decide if i still believe in god anymore or not i am beginning to question if god listened to my prayers or even answered them.

  i think i had a track record of praying more when i needed something.

  Try it out... pray for something, anything... make it completely altruistic, whatever.

  Make sure that there is something quantifiable in the prayer, something measurable to prove that emotional bias, or plain zippity-do-da chance isn't a factor.

  Then sit back and wait...

  and wait...

  ad infinitum.

  Do the JW's really and truly believe that the end is near?

  I think if the WTS pulls a dumbshit move and "advises" everyone to sell their homes and send the money to headquarters, or tells them to quit their jobs so that they can pioneer, alot more people will abandon the faith.

  Someone finally forwarded that email to me about "complete obedience to the FDS" and "not hesitating when we are given instructions from the GB"... that's the kind of stuff that will hopefully wake up some of the JWs.
