as i cook away, preparing a hearty breakfast before the robust walkabout that awaits me, i recall an earlier conversation with a married friend whose wife prepares him beautiful meals.

if you're a single person, it's typical to throw something together hastily and eat it on the run.

well, I know one PO(Still is). He is in his 50's. He has never been married. He looks like E.T. (you know the movie) He has been P.O. since he was 30. He was also raised in the "truth". He also has a college degree, He was a valendictorian at his high school.

1983 Australia Gov. Body member Lyod Barry promises NO change to 1914!

listening to the australia bethel dedication talks 1983 {avalible on cassette} loyd barry of the governing body tells of how an old missionary brother aproached him and said: "the society can change any doctrine they want...but please brother, don't change the doctrine regarding 1914.

" {he had hoped to live thru to paradise} loyd responds: "brothers, we have no intension of changing the 1914 doctrine.".

remember this was just after raymond franz handed out to the governing body members, copies of an article written by an elder dis-proving 607 and 1914....i think in 1979.. so, after loyd barry died, in 1993, the 1914 generation theory was thrown out...that missionary had long since died.

JW's unwritten dress code and personal appearance standards-FROM WHERE?

one thing that always use to puzzle me was the personal appearance standards, espessially for meetings and service.

the men always were expected to where a tie, suit, jacket, etc.

no beards were allowed-mustaches were ok!

Thechickennest, one of my elders in my old congregation about 15 years ago had a beard because of his skin condition. The elders did not treat you right, that is for sure.

manuscript talk - denim is bad - then a whole item on low cut tops, tight clothing, long slits etc - and bra straps showing (you can not make this shit up) is also bad.

last but one item - desperate need for brothers to reach out - cant form congregations if brothers dont reach out.

One time when I was a maintenance worker at a hotel in the past, there was a very gorgeous lady wearing bikini in the elevator, we were alone, then her nipples got really big, I was laughing big time, she laughed too.
