  My Lord spoke and told me to post

  my lord spoke to me for the first time yesterday and this morning he told me to post my experience.. i know there are going to be ones who will call me names and thats ok. i will accept whatever you feel you need to say.. here goes.

  i heard a voice calling ''my child'', this happened while at the zoo so i was taken off guard!

  i replied ''who is this?

  Thanks for your reply, watersprout. It does help.

  Remember the story of Balaam and the ass? I could never take that story seriously because when the ass started talking, Balaam just answered him back like it was an everyday affair. Maybe it's just because the Bible story was so condensed and didn't give the details about Balaam's surprise or shock, I don't know. But the details you shared about your physical reaction does help me think you had an experience.

  If it's not too distressing, could I ask one more question? When the voice told you his name, was it only auditory or did you also see the words imprinted in your mind or something? I'm just wondering how one would know how to spell something like that since it's not common. Thank you.

  You said you were at the zoo; were you alone or were family, friends with you? If so, did they hear the voice and your replies? You said you were taken aback, but that seems a mild reaction. Did you get weak in the knees or at least pee your pants a little? More details please.

  Will my grief ever end?...

  ok so my youngest daughter (17) has been enveloped by her 'spiritual' older siblings and at the same time convinced that her mum is an evil disfellowshipped harlot.... its gutted me for the past 8 months ...i miss her dreadfully and worry so much about her...i thought she knew me better and that we had an unbreakable bond ....the things she's said to me in emails and texts have torn me apart and i cant keep going back for more...much as i love her i cant continue to be a punch bag...it would kill me to go through anymore abuse..... currently she's getting involved via facebook with some of my new hubby's family (not jws) ...i think there's trouble ahead..... loz x.

  Its gutted me

  Oh, dear Loz, I know.....it happened to me 15 years ago. My daughter left without warning and did not contact me for five years. I wanted to die the pain was so unbearable. I never ever would have thought that would happen. Year after year went by and it was devastating to know she did not miss or need me.

  We have a relationship now that she's more mature and not so easily led. I don't know what would be worse, to be in contact and feel abused, or to just be cut off like I was. That's something you'll have to think about. But you have to do what's right for you; doesn't mean you won't suffer for it. My thoughts are with you ....and yes, I believe your grief will end - mine did.

  If you felt/feel that you had/have good, close "friends" in the org, how did/does it feel to just give them up?

  this is my biggest dilema.

  although mentally i really feel i could walk away from the org right now, i still have genuine love for the people i have come to know over the years.

  i love people!.

  Even though they weren't there for me when I really needed it, all these years later I find that I miss my two friends, my fellow converts, and I wonder if I ever cross their minds. Don't know if they loved me or not, but I love THEM.

  Coffee Drinkers...... Why do you drink coffee?

  (preface: at hospital today, can't leave floor to get another h20 bottle, just tried drinking coffee again for the first time in 14years).

  I started drinking it years ago, because it was calorie-free drink. That's why I've never tried adding anything to it. Also, I'm cold-natured and it warms me up.

  I had my picture taken with George Jones. Hubby met Chuck Norris (drilled some gas wells on his place). Also works with Kate Walsh' s father.

  i've been lurking for 3-4 years.. i was baptized in 1981 and served as a ms and regular pioneer for some time.

  small things from our recent elder visit keep popping up in my mind .

  one thing we discussed was how much pressure we felt in the congregation to keep doing more , more ,more .......i said that it caused us to never feel we were ever good enough !

  if you are not meeting the national average you were treated like a slacker .

  They make a mockery of the scripture 'God loves a cheerful giver' dont they?...

  Yes! If we were never to be made to feel compelled to give, why were they telling us how much to give in the preaching? I always struggled with the incongruence of that. I remember telling my ex at the last that I might still go door-to-door, but I would never ever turn in another report to them.
