Hey, fokyc, I didn't see ONE instance of Jesus in those paragraphs. NOT ONE! Just the "prophetic promise" which is a down play of giving Jesus the real credit for being saved.

What must I do to be saved?
by thomas15 inhow would a jw knocking at my door answer this question that i might ask them "you seem to know all about the bible, so tell me please, what must i do to be saved"?.
paul answered this question acts 16:31 "believe in the lord jesus and you will be saved..." but how would the witnesses answer this question assuming that they didn't have any idea that the householder knew the biblical answer or if they did suspect that the householder had some bible knowledge?.

The emphasis is on Jesus, even in the New World Translation
by JimmyPage inthis was a point from "in search of christian freedom" that i really appreciated.
in the new world translation the name "jesus" appears in the christian greek scriptures 912 times.
compare that to "jehovah" which appears (or has been inserted) 237 times.

For people like Reniaa, Jesus simply DID NOT DO ENOUGH. His ransom sacrifice was in vain and salvation must be done through works. While Jehovah's Witnesses strive to have a direct relationship with the Father they completely side-step Jesus. It is so much more than just giving Him lip-service to say he is "Son of God". Even the demons recognized Jesus as "Son of God":
Matthew 8:28-29 (NIV) When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?"
Mark 1:24 (NIV) "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!"
Mark 3:11 (NIV) Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God."
Mark 5:7 (NIV) He shouted at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Swear to God that you won't torture me!"
Luke 4:34 (NIV) "Ha! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!"
Luke 4:41 (NIV) Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, "You are the Son of God!" But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ.
Luke 8:28 (NIV) When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don't torture me!"
Satan and his demons didn't worship Jesus ... neither do Jehovah's Witnesses.

2. Trust in the Faithful & Discreet Slave
3. Attend all the meetings, conventions and assemblies
4. Be active in your ministry and turn in your time
5. Read and study all the publications
6. Follow all the rules and requirements
7. Do more in your ministry!
8. Give talks
9. Stay in God's earthly organization
10. Keep doing more in your ministry!

their records show that when a person is suspended with their hands over their head, as they would be on the jw "torture stake," they can survive for approximately one hour.
if their feet are tied down, as well, the time is reduced to about 15 minutes.. .
