Governing Body Worship
by dontplaceliterature ini was recently invited to join some friends for a meal.
they had a family member visiting from out-of-town who was older, and knows personally a few of the governing body members.
this individual went on about how wonderful those men are, and how happy they are to be led by the gb.. it was mentioned how telling it was that they have not been filling empty spots on the governing body, and how that the men now serving on that body were "just like us" - that one of them had been divorced (i did not know this), one of them was a vet from 'nam (i think i had heard this), and that one of them had several children, etc.

Facing the elders - The right way to do it?

now you cant just go about saying, "well, one of the things is that new light is a bunch of crap, because russel predicted this in 1914 and that in 1918 and that in.....".

The right way to handle elders is simply tell them you've found the truth and leave it at that.
In doing so this might create a plausible inner question " What did he really find ? "
True spirituality can never be found within the commercialized corruption of a publishing house, run by men who have self proclaimed
god had chosen them as his personally chosen ones.
Lies to create Truth will always be an impossibility and most likely will create damage to the ones who have been deceived by them.

You can use the bible to disprove most of the doctrines professed by the WTS. as well encyclopedias and other avenues of information.
The most obvious thing to understand about the WTS. is that its doctrines were intensionally established to proliferate the literature that the
WTS. published itself as a publishing house. This should be whole heartedly accepted as being " The Truth ".
An organization made up of religious charlatans who devised a way through coercive tactics to get other people selling and buying their products
and shaping people how to present themselves before the public as sales representatives for the publishing organization.

by schnare indo you guys think that the gb actually believes the garbage that they print?
how could they actually believe their new "overlapping generation" doctrine?
wouldn't they have access to anything ever printed and have knowledge of all the false prophecy?

They might not believe in it all but they certainly believe in what their position as a GB member means to their own personal life.
The supporting position as a GB member within the WTS Publishing Corporation as far as the prestige and personal care and support,
has to be seen with great appreciative value to each member.

by Silent_Scream inscientific method asserts nothing living can come from something non-living.
science is observable, science is reproducible.
a living thing coming from non-living matter has never been observed nor reproduced.. therefore, it takes faith in an unknown process to believe that that's exactly what happened in the beginning, with no evidence!.

The question of god or science depends where you want to exercise your rational logic.
Since science is really not empowering for men and its quite a bit harder to cultivate money from it, religion
is a viable vehicle that can create that sought after power and money.
