  I'm Ready To Confront My Dad - I'd Like Some Feedback...

  for those of you that don't know... dad thought i was an apostate, ww3 was started, elders were involved, bla, bla bla.

  i didn't speak to him for 1 1/2 months because i was hurt in the way in which he treated me.. now, i'm ready to deal with what happened and actually talk to him about it... this is about what i want to get across:.

  i understand you took the actions you did because you were afraid.

  Have you found a new bible translation you like?

  i know, it seems like half of everyone that leaves turns athiest.... but for those of us out there, who figure on still being christian, have you found a translation of the bible that you belive lives "up to par"?

  i'm really trying to research, but there's so many, i wondered if you had any input!.

  sorry if this has been asked before, but i haven't been on jwd for a few days (plus it takes a day or more for my jwd topic pages to advance to the next page for some reason).. what has happened to all the jw youtube videos??

  every one that i click on comes up "we're sorry, this video is no longer available".

  I would recommend downloading them. I seen few quality videos being taken down by the producers themselves. Those videos have been a great source of encouragement for me, that leaving the watchtower was the right choice. http://downthisvideo.com/

  god's organization...

  is that term blaphemy, or is it idolotry?

  if i'm an ubm, but know that "though shall have no other gods before me" i am spiritually wndangering myself?

  my mate tries to defuse this debate by saying the organization exists in the form of angels, but were she to spew that bs to an elder, i'm sure she'd get some serious counselling.

  My Older Witness Mom Admits to me - "It's a Man's Organization "

  i was having a normal conversation with my witness mom 81 years old ( a witness for 57 years ) and the subject came up about my 56 year old sister who recently suffered a stroke in february .

  my sister suffered for years with post-traumatic stress syndrome from an extremely abusive jw husband throughout the 1980's.

  she was beaten, raped forcibly by him, and emotionally abused by his drug induced screaming rants, and to top that off; cheated on her constantly- even with sisters in the congregation.
