i read the watchtower article on this "new light.

" has any information on how "this generation" turned into two overlapping generations of only anointed people been printed?

the word "evidence" was thrown around a lot in the article, but none was provided unless something has been printed since then and i have missed it.

Exodus 1:6 is a really crude "evidence". Later on, they came (I don't know whether or not it's official) with a better one: Revelation 6:9-11. It does speak of two groups of righteous people, one already in Heaven and one still on Earth. I think that's the best they've got for overlapping generations, scripturally.

1) the general "wicked generation" has always members that live past 115 years, so without the ridicoulous overlap idea, it would have taken wt writers to 2030 for the start of pardise.. 2) the "all things take place" prophecy recorded in math 23-25 include the entering of the " goats into everlasting cutting off=armageddon; the sheep into everlasting life= paradise".

therefore: the generation of wt anointed overlappers dying before armageddon to be raptured, is not what jesus said.

he said the generation will not pass, will survive, be alive , witness the entering into paradise.

Prologos: 2030 would not have been sufficient time. The overlapping doctrine gives them another century.

They can refer the signs in the heavens to the Sputnik, say that a generation is 120 years, after Noah's preaching, and there you have 1957+120=2077, almost as long as the overlapping generation thing... Ale

I understand that Franz was the GB member who was latest baptized before (October?) 1914, which is the key year. So yes, as you say we could search for the youngest person who ever partook with Franz... So I guess the deadline for the WT would be people born about 1979/1980 (if a 12 year old would have partaken, as Franz died in 1992), the last people who would die, right? JUST FOR FUN, WHAT DO YOU THINK ON THIS DEADLINE, GUYS?

So, assuming overlapping of only two generations who knew each other while the members of the first one were already partaking, for example if you were born in 1975 and become anointed when you were 17, and you knew Freddy Franz that year in which he died, then the new doctrine could be that the faithful born after 1975 will never die :)
