I wish the press would report on this and the police focus more on this - it's not like I have not tried a few years back.

Like where in the bible does is actually say that the four components of blood are banned but one hundred precent of the fractions that make up the components are okay.

Like just who defined the word components and fractions when it comes to blood?

Plasma is a term that decribes a number of substances that are in the human's blood system that are not celluar. Yet it is banned. They include but are not limited to water, albumin and Factors 8 and 9. For someone to sit on their collect asses in Crooklyn and tell me that a "component" of blood is plasma but a component is not water is just disgusting.

when i read barbara andersons description of the ground pass that had been issued to watchtower representative ciro aulicino, i decided to check and see if i could find the criteria for receiving such a special pass.

Brain cancer of little girl cured with transfusion of killer T cells!

i watched the news this evening and there was a fantastic story about a little five year old girl who had been cured of her brain tumours with a transfusion of killer t-cells.

her tumours were caused by a virus.

it is believed that, this being the first time a treatment like this has been used to kill cancer cells, (this was in edinburgh, scotland, by the way), but it is believed that this treatment may be considered to cure other cancers caused by virus' including liver and cervical cancer.

Very good points. I do note though that the blood doctrine, which is bible and unique science based, has changed dramatically from the 1960s. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next 20 years from the leadership.

I hear you Gill. Its tough to educate. I do not that AJWRB did do a survey and found at least 1/2 the JWs would quietly accpet a blood therapy once it was properly explained.

I hope one day, this blood issue which I consider an apparent criminal negligence causing death along with the child abuse and shunning issues will stop.

I am aware that JWs have accepted white blood cells before as documented by Sam Muromoto at AJWRB ... peripheral stem cell treatment ...(www.ajwrb.org)

Maybe, just maybe, Major Spry at the Hospital Information Service will whip up some sort of spin to say that these T cells don't fit their definition of white blood cells and are thus, allowed to be taken by JWs ... consceince permitting of course ....

It will be too bad if the the JW leadership prevents this use.

Both you and Barb have told me lots about this dude and his sidekick Ciro. And yes you had me busting out laughing too.

I look forward to hearing from the Andersons on this issue. I also wonder outloud if good old Ciro A. will take over for Harry.

It is false.

The leadership only rejects some types of blood transfusions.

Jehovah's Witness teen going to New York for treatment

VANCOUVER - A 14-year-old B.C. girl facing a court-ordered blood transfusion because of her religious beliefs has been transferred to a New York City hospital for chemotherapy treatment.

The girl, who is a Jehovah's Witness, was transferred to Schneider Children's Hospital from Children's Hospital in Vancouver after a B.C. Supreme Court approved the transfer.

It came after an agreement was reached between the director of child, family and community service, the teenager and her parents.

The Schneider hospital in New York has a cancer treatment program that avoids or minimizes the use of blood transfusions, which are prohibited in the girl's religion.

After a B.C. court ruled she cannot refuse a blood transfusion, the girl and her family went to Toronto seeking a different result.

But the Ontario judge said he did not find any fault with the B.C. Supreme Court decision.

The teenager, who turns 15 on June 5, had a cancerous tumour removed from her right leg and underwent chemotherapy at B.C. Children's Hospital.

Doctors at the hospital say the chemotherapy treatments can inhibit the growth of blood cells and warn that she could die if she doesn't get a transfusion.

My concern is that they family has worked this deal but the child is in another jurisdiction.

I wonder if counsel for the WTS conned children services that the child will take a blood transfusion if necessary and let her go to New York with that understanding.
