Posting on JWN. Happy New Year to everyone.

i have been virtually non-stop studying everything i can get my hands on with regards the wtbts, and "apostate" literature and information.
in all honesty, 80% at least is non-sense and over critical.
however, i do find about 20% (if i have to create a percentage reference) is appropriate in its line of reasoning and questioning.
"Jehovah’s organization alone, in all the earth, is directed by God’s holy spirit or force
(Zech,4:6) Only this organization functions for Jehovah’s purpose and to his praise. To it alone God’s Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book." Watchtower, 1973 July 1st p.402", that is blaspheme. Some GB members may be sincere; however to claim that they alone are "God’s channel" and that they alone have the " truth", that they alone are "spirit directed", makes mockery of the Spirit.
Did the spirit direct the GB to forecast Armageddon dates: 1914, 1918, 1925, 1940, and 1975? Is it not obvious that they are just another group of self appointed, self-opinionated men, making outlandish claims? After 60 years in the organization I have come to realize that I too was misled and should have paid attention to the scripture: "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world." 1 John 4:1.Michael
after reading "combatting cult mind control" and "crisis of conscience" i wondered what i would read next.
i really enjoyed "coc" and i saw a lot of posts on jwd that mentioned how "in search of" helps jws overcome their aversion to birthdays and holidays.
i feel like that's what i need now to help fully deprogram myself.
These two publications: "Crisis of Conscience" and "In Search of Christian Freedom", written by a former member of the governing body are invaluable to all who wish to learn the truth about the double standards, the deception and cover-up practised by the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
My wife and I are very grateful to Ray Franz for exposing the evils of disfellowshipping, shunning and their claims of being "spirit directed." These publications opened our eyes as well as the eyes of countless thousands throughout the world.
They are available at: http://www.commentarypress.com/ which is Ray’s own website. If you get them from him directly they are better priced, his service is excellent and he doesn’t have to pay commission.
the following three paragraphs are part of a startling new essay written by a well-respected poster on jwd.
he spent much time and money to gather proof of duplicity on the part of watch tower leaders.
marvin shilmer (not his real name) has given permission for me to put his entire essay on my website, www.watchtowerdocuments.com.
Thank you Barbara and Marvin.
Jesus said: "By their fruits you shall know them". Matthew 7:20.
Best wishes to you.

yours for the taking.. it took some craptastic elders treating me like dirt and reading through coc to make my exit.
i no longer need or want these two books around, so am making them available to someone who would like them.
coc is fourth edition.
For the benefit of our guests:
"Crisis of Conscience" & "In Search of Christian Freedom", were written by Ray Franz, former member of the governing body.
I donated many to public libraries. Our intention is to make a contribution of these two invaluable publications to all the libraries we can locate; I believe that will be a priceless service to the community. It will help enlighten the public about the WBTS system and just how deceptive and misleading the organization is. It will also present an opportunity for some honest JWs examine their faith and change their life for the better.
They can be purchased direct from:
http://www.commentarypress.comi was pmed this excerpt from the final talk by r. clark at the new york special assembly day by a newbie whom i will keep anonymous for confidentiality purposes.
it is full of spin control, and damage control which shows how nervous the watchtower society is getting about " negative talk ", " independent thinking", and " internet use " by the rank and file jehovah's witness members.
title of the talk : .
However, we have received reports that some use www.Jehovah's Witness.com to find honest hearted ones who have an interest in Jehovah's Witnesses and the truth. True, on that website there are strict rules as to being respectful. And we do not make rules as to what websites a Christian can visit, we should use our own conscience . However, wouldn't it be even more upbuilding to direct a person to Watchtower.org rather than Jehovah's Witness.com ?
It begars belief that words such as those were used from the platform. They take away from the credibility of the whole post.
Michael
well rick's video on venus got me thinking about our favorite wannabe international heavy......the un.. we all know the lame half assed excuse that ciro released regarding the library card..... how long after ted is permanently infirmed or dead until the hand picked younguns' decide to quietly ditch the un doctrine?.
do you think the un would take them back?.
.
The Watchtower governing body labels the UNO, the "disgusting thing that causes desolation", "the wild beast" WT Jan 15, 77. p 44. . Nevertheless they attached themselves to the UN in association with the DPI as an NGO.
For 10 years they accepted and endorsed the general objectives and principles of the UN; they committed themselves to publish UN propaganda in their magazines. However should their followers link with an organization such as YMCA, they can expect the most severe punishment, even be disfellowshiped, and be cut off from their families and life long friends. They would be shunned for the rest of their lives.
This was very hypocritical; scandalous. They were hiding their UN affiliation from the RF for 10 years.

i prayed before i came on here.
i know that it weird.
i have been reading here for a long time.
Welcome BonaFide,
Your disappointment and pain is familiar to my wife and me.We were involved with the WBTS for 6 decades; I served in various positions of responsibility. As the years went by we became more and more convinced that they have never been appointed by God as the "slave"; they just wanted to advocate their own propaganda, and became slaves of their own concept.
It is very disappointing that after spending extended periods oftime in that system, one discovers that it is badly flawed, spiritually dysfunctional.
The deceptive dates for Armageddon 1914, 1918, 1925 and 1975,did they originate with God? The endless record of flip flops;where did all these come from? From the men who are prisoners of their own theology; the GB, and not from God. ...
It’s encouraging to note that you have not lost your faith in Godand Christ Jesus. My wife and I have not lost our spirituality or our belief in God and the Bible. To lose ones faith IMHO is like mislaying the compass, losing direction and spiritual focus. I find much peace of mind and heart by staying with the Scriptures, and hope and pray that I will never again abdicate to any human, or an organization.
Please read the two books published by Ray Franz, "Crisis of Conscience" and "In Search of Christian Freedom" by former member of the governingbody. Ray is a fine, spiritual Christian and very much Bible oriented.
You may purchase them from:
Best wishes

i accompanied my jw wife to one day (sunday) of the district convention this weekend.
for any who are interested, i offer these observations from the sunday afternoon session:.
the concluding talk was given by a gentleman by the name of steven lett, a member of the jw governing body.
Not a single discourse was delivered by a C.O. Do these men usually give talks at conventions? I don't know. (Blondie?)
Are you referring to the talks you heard or the whole convention?
It would be possible for the Sunday talks to be handled by DO's abd bethel buddies.
However...it would be unheard of to have a whole convention without co's speaking.
Sorry not Blondie, but I do have some knowledge about that of which I speak.
yes that is the title of the first article, i repeat: the house - to -house ministry - why important now?.
second: meeting the challenges of the house-to-house ministry.
third: it is "god who makes it grow"!.
