C'mon Stillin,
Don't ask questions. Just drink up!
this "new light" thing.
the really "sharp" witnesses, who keep up with "the present understanding" of things, are quick to demonstrate their savvy.
in their comments, conversation or when representing a group in prayer, they include little references to let all know that they are up to date.
C'mon Stillin,
Don't ask questions. Just drink up!
a local congregation is the owner.
(this hall occupies an area of 1000sq ft).
other khs to be sold too.... i don't know how many.
Ontheway,
I was on the local RBC (not too long ago). The only ones who got paid were those with very specialized expensive equipment (excavators, dump trucks, cranes, etc.). In fact I will tell you that being involved actually cost me a good amount of money. I donated tools and equipment that nobody knew where it came from. I would have tools that I shared disapear. I would empty out my truck if needed. I figured each quick-build would cost me $300.00 to $500.00 in tools and/or materials. Not counting gas, food or travel expenses. Then there were meetings monthly, nights putting together material lists and missed time making real money.
The racket is not compensation being handed out to the brothers. It is the fact that that the land is bought by fleecing the congo. The labor is fleeced from the members. The building is built for a fraction of it's worth.
When the building is sold the Society somehow gets their hands on the money. If not they loan out additional funds if needed and charge interest on that money (depending on the laws of the land). The money they loan out was already given to them, but this way they can demand more from the members by guilting them into a monthly "expense" of a mortgage.
One of these days this ponzi scheme will be exposed and cost the WBT$ big dollars.
Can't happen soon enough!
first a little bit about myself.
i'm not a jw.
but i'm married to a jw lady who is very dedicated to it all.
Judc,
I understand exactly what you are saying. My wife a young kids go to the meetings and Last year I stopped cold-turkey. I do not believe it is fair to demand my wife to stop taking them as when we got married it was agreed that we would raise our kids in the "truth". Also, if you try too hard, their defenses toward you, which you may or may not realize are being ingrained in their heads, will get worse. What I have found helpful for myself is allowing things to distract them. For instance, sporting events on a Sunday or emphasis on homework on meeting nights. If your child is older than 7 there is a pretty good chance they will fight you if you try too hard.
The other posts are accurate in saying push education or perhaps sports if it does not cause too much trouble with your wife. Also know this, almost NOBODY will stay in this religion as a teenager if it is to easy for them to get out. They will most likely lose interest as they become teenagers. Just be the cool Dad they can talk to and trust.
Good Luck,
tread
mine is rugby union the sport of kings lol.

the hurricanes.
I'm just a motor boatin' son of a bitch!
hehehehe!
ok this is the deal: i was dfd 14 years ago, i was just planning to go back last year.
i had planned to come back with a clean conscience so i started to study and research the wt to prove to myself this was the truth, the elders had met with me to suggest me to submit a letter of reinstatement, in the same meeting i told them i had some questions that i needed help with before i was to go back.
they said they were gonna answer those questions after i was reinstated :-d so i went by myself and started doing my research.
Dude, You are apostate!
If you want to hide it that's your choice. ( I hide it to select family members)
If you want to live liberated, admit it to them.
Personally, I would probably get myself reinstated by being "teachable", "humble", and "repentant" (PUKE)
Then pull a fast fade.
All the best my fellow apostate.
what do you think?.
I think most reqular publishers actually buy into this crap. I know I did when I was getting 10-15 hrs a month. Once you doubt, there is no sense wasting your time. It is almost obvious who does and doesn'trink the Kool-Aid.
would you be interested to get to know a cute guy, he lives in a very nice home by himself, he likes to workout physically, you must like to do that too.
he is very sex driven..
Married, full of D&D, unemployed, insecure, Chubby, ex JW, looking for same. I am picky. Send pic and I will reply (not with pic though). If I do not respond, your loss. Someone else will scoop up this prize.

Not me...
I like a girl with extensions in her hair
Bamboo earings at least two pair
A Fendi bag and a bad attitude
That's what I need to get me in a good mood. ( I'm thinking this is Alltime Jeff's fetish)
BTW, The Blueprint 3 Album is awesome.
im working on my exit strategy out of the watchtower org.
ive set my mind to be out by the end of 2010 or mid 2011. .
id like to avoid getting df and disassociating my self is also an undesirable option.
"You know, ever since I felt in my heart that I can no longer support the WT Org, having a good night sleep has become very hard. The anxiety that I’m experiencing is serving as an affirmation that the WT exert an unhealthy power over one’s mind and emotions. "
I remember the worst part for me was giving Public Talks with a serenade of b*llsh*t, b*llsh*t going through my head. I am not joking it was very distracting.
Be careful about claiming depression. That rumor would grow and swell beyond belief.
My advice...be honest, only with your wife (it is nobody else's business). That's what I did. It was not an easy route to take but 5 years later I am out, she is in and we have an understanding. I know it doesn't work for many, but at least you can stop living the lie you are currently living.
i'm running vista home premium on my dell inspiron.
dell custom build to your requirements and i went for 4gb of ram from the start (almost 2 years ago).
i know vista has been much maligned but honestly, i've had no problems with it.
I have had Windows 7 for 3 month (don't tell me how long it's been out ). The only issue I have had is that if a software issue came up the software tech's are quick to play dumb and blame the OS. Other than that it is almost as good as my mac. I use a PC at work mac at home.
