As evidenced by your posting of this situation, you may have just needed to get this off your chest. If this is where you came to vent you are probably no different than most others here. But there is no need to stir the pot and less of a need to get some elders leaking info to their wives who will then make this guys life more miserable than it already is (I only assume misery if he still goes to meetings).

Sorry,this outline is a downer. It gives the GB wiggle room to deny/change as the need arises. I also don't feel it is a change in the education policy. Besides as brought up already, these are two extremes and also very subjective. If these leads to something else then I am completely wrong. Anyways, great job on the links!-H20

l Welcome aboard- I think everyone will agree that if you felt somewhat liberated after your first post it will only continue. Every step you take from here forward will feel more liberating. The bigger the step, the better the feeling. I was in a very similar situation as you up until a few years ago and then started a very slow fade until I realized the faster I left the happier I was. Almost everyone I know is still in ( my wife and kids are at the meeting right now). If you are appointed in any position ,stepping down was not an easy decision but I have never regretted it for a second. All the best on your journey. By the way, if you can swing it,get a mac, PRIVATE BROWSING is very convenient.

What is your strangest "supernatural" JW story?
by donny ini had just became a witness and a guy i worked with, who was also a jw, told me a story that actually made me laugh and i think it upset him a bit.
the storys were almost always in the third person.
it went as follows.. this brothers wife and him were sitting at the kingdom hall on the end seats of the row next to the back of the room.

by worf inafter losing the wimbledon championship to her sister venus, serena williams was being interviewed on the court yesterday, and here is part of what she said: "i thank my god jehovah for being out here".. okay, so according to her words, jehovah blessed her by allowing her to be there to participate in a competitive sports championship match.

I think I made "The List"
by RR inso jehovah's witnesses came to our door, this is about the fifth time, i always miss them, but they talk to my wife, this time i was home due to the holiday season, the man was an elder, he came with a newbie, thought he would show her "how's its done"), the young women sat there with mouth wide open, as she watched me beat up her elder with his own bible.
well after discussing the scriptures for about 2 hours, (subjects included: salvation, ransom, permission of evil, god's organization), she looked at me and said "amazing, i've never heard it explained quite that way before.".
the elder asked me what religious affiliations i had, i told him, "i am with the associated bible students.

I feel de-programmed
by digderidoo ini have posted my thread regarding that i went back to a few meetings.
within that the debate came up about 607 v 587.. for me i have seen many criticisms against the wt society that i agree with.
but i have never been able to find conclusive or 100% proof that doctrines or beliefs are wrong.

I've had it a couple of times. My frustration is that ALMOST ALL practicing JW have very little doctrinal knowledge in which you can dispute these thing with. That is why I find this board refreshing in that when I am not being a smart a** I find that there are others who have drawn similar conclusions on beliefs or at least chosen to question certain things.
