  "too bad our daughter was born...., otherwise we could jehovah more fully.... ".

  thats what on many occasions our long time family friend (an elder) told us.

  believe it or not, they were saying this in her presence (she was 16 at the time)!!!.

  I don't remember ever hearing my parents say anything like that out loud but I have come to believe in the last few years that my mother has always held it against me for messing up her plans.

  My father & mother had both been pioneering for a while before they got married. The plan was to marry and continue pioneering. She had even considered going to Gilead.

  9 1/2 months after they were married I appeared on the scene and pioneering came to a screaching halt along with all her other plans.

  My cousin just told me last year that she and my aunt (mom's sister) had talked about the way mom had always treated me and they decided it was because I got in the way of her plans. My cousin was very anxious about telling what they felt but finally told me what she was thinking. It was interesting I had already come to the same conclusion.

  i went to a chapters store and tried to order mr. hassans book, and was told they can longer bring it in, as it is no longer published.

  has this news made it here onto the site?.

  amazon.ca has copies starting at 90.00, all the way to almost 275.00 !

  I miss my real life cousin - Auld Soul (He got the brains in this family.)

  Spectre - I have also been thinking about Misanthropic. I was in Tucson today and thought about giving her a call but got side tracked. I hope she has gotten on with life and is having lots of fun.

  i know some police officers that are very good cops.

  and i know some that are underhanded and dishonest.

  as kids, we were taught to be trusting of policemen (and women).

  My son is one of the good ones and has been for many years.

  You have to watch the new & young ones that have rookie-itis. The power goes to their head.

  I have only been stopped twice. State patrol got me in west Texas for speeding (it got dark & I forgot to lower the cruise control). He just said to slow down because there's lots of animals crossing the highway. The second was SP in Louisiana on I-10. It was ofter midnight. He said I touched the white line on the side of the highway when I came over a bridge (any excuse will do). I was driving a van w/ a Texas tag headed east & I-10 is a major line for drugs so I think he was just hoping he had found a nice cache of drugs.

  Dr's Were Talking About Giving Me a Transfusion - Hubby's Reaction and update on him...

  well, when i was giving birth there were some complications.

  the dr. came in and told hubby and i that they were probably going to want to give me a transfusion as i had lost so much blood.

  i looked at my husband for his reaction.

  So glad to hear you and baby are fine. Your husband's response is outstanding. I am so happy for you.

  My daughter had her little girl April 2. She had to have an emergency C-section at the last minute but all turned out okay.

  I just got that email about Bill Gates again from a friend a little while ago. I sent her the Snopes link saying it's false.

  It's amazing how those things take on a life of their own and can't be stopped. What's more amazing is that people believe them.

  I think women tend to analyze relationships more than men. Oprah had a good example the other day about how different males and females think. There was a young girl and boy (14 I believe) that were saying they loved each other and ready for sex. The therapist asked them how long they thought this relationship would last.

  The boy said 6 months to a year. The girl was shocked. She thought it was forever. In her mind she had analyzed their relationship into a lifetime.

  how many millions are aged 95 and over?.

  if they were born in 1914 they would be 95, so chances are they didn't actually hear to comprehend that "millions now living will never die".. it could be a stretch, but possibly a 5 year old could have heard and comprehended the message.

  they would be 100 yr. old.. but just to cut wt some slack, we will go with age 95 and above.. so how many jw millions left in that age range, folks?.

  My dad was born in 1914 and died this January. He would have been 95 later this year. He never even considered the WTS had deceived him in any way. I never heard him say anything about all the changes in doctrine. When I visited and it was the day of the book study he would sit at the dining room table cutting and gluing all the changes to his Revelation book.

  Such a sad sight to see a man that was so stubborn about some things to be totally under the control of an organization.

  The very first thing for me was an article in 1978 in the Atlanta newspaper about the Jim Jones cult & suicides. It was a long article telling all about the cult. I read that article several times.

  So many of the things they wrote about the Jim Jones cult was true of the WTBTS also.

  I have been through the inspection stations in Texas and New Mexico many times and the one on I-8 in Arizona only once. The agents are always cordial and respectful. As I drove through, I put my window down so they could see me. They motioned me right on through even though my eyes were bloodshot from driving for a long time.

  I agree these guys at this Arizona checkpoint did not handle this situation properly. When they saw Anderson was just trying to cause trouble all they had to do was record his license plate in case they needed to follow up and send him on his way. This is not the first YouTube he has put up documenting his travel through the checkpoints.

  Anderson has been making this trip every week for some time now if I remember correctly. You would think they would be familiar with him by now and know the game he is playing and not be sucked into it. Every employee involved at that checkpoint was incredibly stupid and let their testosterone take over.

  The only time I felt really irritated was at the checkpoint on Hwy 80 north of Tombstone. They had a checkpoint set up just a few yards north of Hwy 82. Anyone wanting to avoid the checkpoint could just turn left onto Hwy 82 and head west over to Hwy 90 and points west & north. Totally useless as far as catching illegals & drugs (unless they had another station set up I don't know about.) Which brings up the point - is that what they are really there for.
