I thought jim jones was pretty damned evil .he might make #13. Emporer tojo of japan also was very evil during ww-2.It's pointless to compare the Wt to these people ,metatron.

10 most evel peopel ever
by happy man inthe top ten evil
1. tomas de torquemada (pictured here) - born in spain in 1420, his name is synonymous with the christian inquisition's horror, religious bigotry, and cruel fanaticism.
he was a fan of various forms of torture including foot roasting, use of the garrucha, and suffocation.

The way I see it is that the 144K mentioned in revelation are those that restore true christianity after the appointed times of the nations have concluded which the society believe to be 1914.It has nothing to do with the first century christians or anyone else prior to 1914.Exactly when the final one is sealed is not mentioned.I think it is fruitless for them to argue having any knowledge as to a cut off date.

Will God intervine?
by kelsey007 inor is this life on earth only a testing or proving ground for an eternal life elsewhere?
as jw's we were taught that god will intervine in the world and bring the earth to a unified state under a theocratic government.
so, is man capable of maintaining the earth without intervention from a "higher source"?

What was your message
by A Paduan in.
when going door to door were you delivering good news (without an if) like, "your landlord has given you the house"or were you selling 'love' like, "if you do as we do then you will be loved"or were you pretending to be normal but giving the underlying warning about the imaginary beast-god - who was perhaps going to get yourself.. paduan

Eldersystem an error ?
by happy man in.
inn a tread down i see a very intrestring debatt about who this system was put in charge, and that it was r,f who was the creator.. i have very clear memory of when this system come and who we handel it.. we have to sitt and was sopposed to tell each other what was our good points, and what wrong we have, some brothers was wery hurt by this examination .. my expirense is that this is not a good system you dont have to read long on this site to find that terribel abuse have been done in the name of elder system.. perhaps this man who put this sytem in charge, was not from jehova, i think the issu is very well described of the sign down on this site.. it could bee intresting to hear what you here think of this, is the elder system an erreor?.
and what responsibility they have the creator or the creators?.

I think the elder system was derived from the 1st timothy 5:17-18 and 1st peter 5:1-5 .Doesn't seem to be unbiblical .

Void where prohibited
by zev inin the us, the term void is used in the health care industry as another word for.... well doing a number one, or taking a pee.
there is also a term, "void where prohibited".... usually in reference to some sale, or offer.. so...... "void where prohibited" = "pee where you please".
or is this my watchtower upbringing twisting my reality?edited by - zev on 26 october 2002 6:2:12.
