by heathen ini actually went to the service meeting last night and low and behold the announcement was about the wtbts not charging interest on the loans on kingdom halls anymore but they still had to pay back the principle balance , i never knew they charged interest but think that it was a very dishonest thing for them to do to begin with .
you have to borrow money to pay for a building that the wtbts owns?
to charge interest is a very worldly practice since it was against mosaic law to do so and clearly jesus would never have asked anything of the sort .

Ok well, I doubt I'll be reading 5,000 pages of court documents , apparently there was no law in place of reporting accusations to the secular authorities so families would be responsible for that, so regardless of the threat of dfing you would think the family members would do something legally of which they could have and should have done ,so they are at fault .

Society to start laminating paper backed publications
by Lady Zombie inat the wednesday night ministry school meeting, a letter from the society was read announcing that wtbts paperbacked publications will begin to be laminated.
according to the letter, this "will save approximately 2 million dollars per year," "lengthen the life of the publications," and "increase the attractiveness" of the publications.. so there's that.. .
also, will someone please explain to me why 85% of the congregation started smiling and nodding at this.. i sometimes think that headquarters could send the congregations boxes of turds and the jws would act like it was the best thing ever..

obviously it's because they want publications to last througout the millenial reign and they don't have to walk all over the world to deliver new copies of stuff since the current modes of transportation will be no more. also explains why they needed a new 500 million dollar printing facility , so they can have a laminating department.

I really don't get how the WTBTS is responsible for the child molestations that go on in the various kingdom halls . I don't think of it as the same situation with the catholic church where they do have orphanages and take advantage of children in them . The children had nowhere to go to seek help for fear of being left without a home and food. Is there a court transcript of the trial ? I'd like to see just how the court handled this stuff. True the people at Bethel do earn their way but the statment made was nobody ever got a penny of compensation for anything but we all know they do feed them and give them a couple of bucks a month for personals . I also hear they operate outside the WTBTS in the private sector with the construction crews or janitorial services . Personally I don't think it too much to ask to give your insurance check to the WTBTS for the repairs done by volunteers . It's really defrauding the insurance company to get over inflated prices from contractors and receive money based on those only to use volunteers and cut the labor cost to $0 .

EMPTY KINGDOM HALL
by thebigdebate ini have heard from my father (who is an elder about 50 years old) that there is a great seperating work going on within the org.
he said that almost all of the people my age 25 to 35 have quit going to our hall (about 20 people).
i have not been to a meeting in about 1 year.

It is amazing that they even continue to build more kingdom halls that can hold a couple hundred people when in reality there is about zero growth reported and the buildings are mostly empty during the meetings anyway.

Not one penny has ever gone for the benefit of the members.
I know that's not true , they have the farm that grows food for the bethel people and they do send relief to the afflicted around the world and of course there's the "life saving" preaching work , be that as it may. According to them the greatest thing you can do is the preaching and conversion work. People have contributed their money for the purpose of the world wide preaching work so this business of lending money that was freely given for the purpose is very dishonest to me. At least this time the statement on the halls financial situation was in the black and there were no demands for more money as I've seen in the past .

I think the deal was that the mosaic law was about eye for an eye and life for a life , adam sentenced all mankind to the grave with with his act of rebellion then jesus made himself a sacrifice equal to the perfect human to give mankind a redeemer and also offer the faithful and true a chance at a spirit life in the kingdom of the heavens . We all suffer and die in this world regardless but the hope is a resurrection that is run by jesus . Jesus only had to give up his flesh not his soul in this thing. He went back to living as a spirit .

Things are becoming scarce. Middle class income earners are disappearing due to the out sourcing to impoverished third world nations . There are serious food shortages right now all accross the world , there's an energy crisis because the powers that be refuse to mass produce alternatives and other countries are having higher demand causing a bidding war .(according to some people).
