depends on how you look at the statement made by stephen . The WTBTS believes the word spirit is just another word for life not that stephen was being resurrected to spirit life at that time . He realized he was going to die as a martyr thus guaranteeing a spot in the kingdom .

by logic insomething i keep wondering about.
if we should pray in jesus' name, then why was his name not mentioned in the lords model prayer.

It always amazes me that there are people out there that love that kind of music , I have my own launch cast station with all kinds of oldies on it . Of course nobody really did it better than hendrix or stevie ray but there is allot of stuff they listened to and were inspired by that made them what they were.

I screw around with it myself , not a serious musician or anything but just enjoy the creative outlet of it . You've mentioned some things I never heard of with the dobro G or G wahine. Yah the list goes on for standard tune players , led zeppelin , george thoroughgood ........

avishai-- don't you play in a band around here in DFW area? Do you have a myspace where I can see show dates? Most slide payers just use regular tune , zz top and joe walsh is usually what they do .......

Christmas is gone....it always makes me so sad. :*(
by LovesDubs inthis year because thanksgiving was so very late in november, people didnt have as much time to put up and keep up their lights as they usually do.
i know its only a week's difference...but it made a difference.
before we knew it it was christmas already and now the music has stopped and the lights are coming down...and the thing i hate to see the most.... christmas trees discarded and left at the curb for the garbage man.

He may not have said it in the, "lords prayer", but he did tell the people that they should ask in his name and it would be granted them , noone gets to the father but through the son . Jesus being the mediator of the new covenant is the only way to approach the father , without the son you don't have the father ... All kinds of scripture points to why you should use jesus name .

kingdumb reality means throwing your life away out in field circus, attending boasting sessions, dutifully studying washtowel publications every tuesday all evening, and dying stagnant and having produced zero value in your own life.

Meetings: Are They Morons?
by metatron inso, the new arrangement for meetings includes a jam-packed ministry school/service meeting and book study that ends at 8:45pm in many halls - unless they go overtime!.
these geniuses tried to create a family night because they realize witness families are falling apart so they created an awfully long meeting instead that will often take place on a thursday night - just prior to friday when countless kids have tests in school scheduled!.
good for them!

I think they are trying to focus more on starting personal studies and leaving another night for the pioneers and such to do it . We can suspect that in the very impoverished nations they do it the same since traveling would be extremely difficult . They really are planning on babylon the great to get it's death stroke anytime now which would create a flood of people wanting access to the WTBTS info , I've heard some say it's already happening with needing to create more room for others .

I don't think a blessing today would be quite the same .There are no more animal sacrifices even tho I've actually known some JW that would actually do that .I know the pope thinks he can bless people with holy water . In any event I don't fall for those chalatans on the TBN stations or as some other church goers inform that I'm cheating God by not giving over ten percent of my income to the church . Insane ramblings from people that barely have a pot to pee in themselves worying about their "pasture" living a life of luxury .There's a blessing for you right there , not falling for all that crap.

according to info now creeping out, i am sure plans have been in the works.

I think the WTBTS would say that jehovah would always have enough ministerial servants to do his will to his satisfaction or some such thing . The difference between those churches and the WTBTS is that all males are being trained to take on the preaching work in the JW world. Even their women know more than any baptist would on the truth in the bible .
