It's pretty evident from the bible that only some would reach out for church responsibility so if some didn't want the office of overseer , then they certainly wouldn't qulify for higher positions in the church . I don't know how they appoint their president , I don't believe it should be a life time apointment tho. Taking a name such as president implies exaulting yourself over others where as the whole point is to humble yourself .

I'm sure they consider the editing and publishing work doing their fair share but the bible does stress doing hard physical labor to sustain yourself and not being dependant on anybody for anything if possible .The way they use the word glean in the congregation is absurd as well , whenever they read something they feel as if they are "gleaning" from the article. Everything they need to know about the article is already explained by the WTBTS so there's no "gleaning" involved . It all comes from jehovahs store house .

Yah looks like the holy spirit will reveal they are wrong yet again . I think they are insane to say they are "anointed" but yet not inspired . They even go as far as spirit directed at times , which is the same thing . They seem to get themselves caught up in samantics . The belief that the bible even exists for our day is because the spirit resisted attacks against in . I just recently bailed on them again myself because of people trying to force opinion on me and at times, I believe blaspheme .

That's some excellent comments there sd-7 . The governing body needs to step up to the plate . The WTBTS is basically a peaceful organization and I often wonder why they never even get nominated for the nobel peace prize. Why would they be afraid of anything ? The way I see it you aren't in the remnant unless you do some jail time over it and die at the hands of opposers anyway and they do believe at this time it's more or less an instantanious resurrection anyway. Yah the governments are extremely corrupt but to hide in the shadows whilst those you call brothers are in the trenches is cowardly to say the least.

All I can say is more power to the dissenters in Russia . I personally don't like jw's but still feel their stance of government corruption has a solid backing from all over . If more people would get on the band wagon of exposing and condemning government corruption in the US then we might actually get something done around here .

aguest- nobody can say for sure what the new heavens and earth will be like but we do know the earth was a bit different before man arrived and possibly will return to that same design , if worked the first time then why not? The earth had it's orbit changed due to the flood of noahs day which allowed for seasons, according to some .TRue you won't find that in a science book . I would like to again include daniel 12 where Michael stands up and the dead are resurrected . I do believe in 2 resurrections .

The WTBTS states that the dead are resurrected but don't come to life in respect to over coming their immoral ways and living in harmony with Gods perfect will . Kinda sounds silly to me but jesus is only in charge for the millenial reign , he is the appointed king and in charge of the resurrection ,it's his choice who gets life and gets everlasting abhorrences . Personally I think the earth is in really bad shape at the beginning of millenial reign and would need time to be restored to paradise as was before adam and eve . The continents would have to be connected and the earth back on the same course around the sun to do it . That's if the sun doesn't explode .
