  Are you Possessed?

  warning: though this is very long if you read as much as you can it may lead to some interesting conversation.. seriously, in my battle with good and evil in my life i have come to the conclusion that i am not meant to "know god" and that i was possessed sometime in my early life(ok not exorcist possessed but just possessed meaning "i'm not meant to get it/cut off from god")examples (yes, i realize these are only fictional portrayls but they show what i mean):.

  1) there is an older movie called the rapture.

  it stars david duchovny(pre x-files days)& mimi rogers(an occasional x-file charachter) anyhow she's the main character and it's about this:.

  keep us informed if you start spitting up pea soup and your head
  spins 360 degrees.But I can relate to being a fish thrown overboard
  because Jesus said that the salt that loses it's stregnth is cast
  out and trodden on by men.Although I practice no religion I have
  read the bible .It does say that god is the judge of all.There
  is not much we can do as we play pawns in this game Good vs.
  evil our eternal fate is not ours to determine.I did find this
  post a very topical one .I just wonder how many people feel the
  way you do.The bible can give people a guilt complex that's why
  so many people have used it for personal gain.I never saw The Rapture
  movie but I am a big fan of Stephen King and have seen the Tv special
  and also read the book The Stand.It is funny how there often seems to
  be parallels to hunanity caught up in a plot that is completely
  overwelming.To thine ownself be true is one philosophy to live by.

  i believe i have set the wheels in motion for what i believe will lead to my disfellowshiping.

  i have been inactive since 1987 and still getting along with the witnesses (invited to gatherings etc.

  ) but something came up that finally push my buttons just enough to make me explode.

  I seem to always see people claim that shunning is
  unscriptual so I went and found it in my bible 1cor.5:11
  is one that supports shunning and I know I read others
  but I think that one pretty much says it all .even
  though they use there own practice of reinstating
  there is no mention of a six month period to repent from
  wrong doing.You also didn't mention whether your boys
  friend was a baptized christian or not .In my opinion
  they can't da or df someone that is not officially a
  member of the church.Since no one else wants to hear
  my opinion you are stuck with it.[>:(

  a fews days ago, i met this elderly jewish man, with such a personaltity.

  he said that he was 8 years old when he was in the concentration camp.

  his stories amazed me.. anyway, as it turns out, he is now an atheist.

  I can believe in tolerance but the things that really annoy me
  are things such as christmas time .they try to create a buying
  frenzy for holidays.Then they try to convince you that the problems
  in public school are because they took prayer out of it .Religious
  fanatics can be very overbearing.I would have a problem with any
  court room that said any kind of formatted prayer.I do believe that
  the constitution states a sepperation of church and state.The concept
  of swearing an oath of office with a hand on the bible is
  completely hypocitical.I have also noticed the news media trying
  to make a celebrity out of the pope .what a joke

  Organization's Calender Pic for July/August

  yesterday i noticed, at the home of my leaving-but-not-quite-left parents-in-law, the photo montage for july/august on the organization's calender.

  on the top of the page is a photograph of a bunch of jw children at a convention in 1941, holding up a copies of the book children, which had been distributed just to them.. here are two quotes from that book, some of which was written in a hokey first person dub-voice:.

  should men and women, both of whom are jonadabs or 'other sheep' of the lord, now marry before armageddon and bring forth children?

  I had no idea that this was some of the garbage those idiots
  printed.this is obvious apostasy.although the aposle paul
  incouraged singleness he in no way suggested that getting
  married and having a family was tabboo.His thinking was
  that a single person could dedicate more time and effort in
  preaching the kingdom message.A married person would be
  devided ,a man would have to provide for his family thus
  taking away the precious little time they believed they had
  to prove themselves .thanks for posting this outrageous crap.

  even I remember Awake magazines with articles about
  privacy issues and the latest of spy technology
  posted .They seemed very concerned over the issue.
  I guess if somebody other than a jw does something
  of this nature it's got to be SATAN.The government
  is trying to pass laws that enable them to wire
  tap phones at random.At what point do you determine
  if you are totalitarian and paranoid?Even the constitution
  of the united states of america has an article about
  unreasonable search and seizure.People also have a
  right to not incriminate themselves thus making unauthorized
  phone tapping unadmissable in court hearings.Even murderers
  can plead the fifth amendment.Better for them not to
  have a public phone than to use underhanded tactics.
  If this is considered a fine work than they must do it
  so all are aware of what they are doing that the son of man
  may be glorified .
  The heathen has spoken.Do I hear a Halalujah and amen?
