I think the best evidence for God is the existence of a book publishing corporation in NY .

Just one shred of evidence?
by nvrgnbk inis there just one shred of evidence that proves beyond any doubt that there is a being that is responsible for the existence of the universe and that it continues to have some effect on its inhabitants?
thanks for the inspiration, honesty.

I think this article was geared toward the illegal immigration issue that is causing allot of commotion in the US right now . Most likely suspects obviously are the ones that speak foreign languages or dress differently than the rest . The old , "let's try not to think of the negative , but consider the positive", kinda article. I also don't know how many articles they've printed about back biting to which seems to have no results anyway. If you are not brown nosing the elders for some "privilege" or another they don't really care who says what .IMO

The mark of the beast
by Lady Zombie insince the rev book is being studied currently, one particular newish, but 100% believing (i assume) witness expressed her anxiety about revelation 13:16-17.. 16: "and it puts under compulsion all persons, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, that they should give these a mark in their right hand or upon their forehead,..".
17: "and that nobody might be able to buy or sell except a person having the mark, the name of the wild beast or the number of its name.".
anyway, after the book study was over and the chit-chatting started, the sister scooted up to the conductor and asked, .

That is interesting how people in the cult always have to ask permission to even buy food ,give me a break . It's pretty obvious there is a food shortage going on and if the WTBTS wants it's members to eat they will have to let them buy food in advance .What's the big deal? The WTBTS already took the mark of the beast when it associated with the UN as an NGO .IMO symbolically anyway. The UN "library card" could easily be construed as a beast worshiping mark. They even changed the supreme authority dogma back to man made government which is ruled by satan .

All the changes. Piecing it together.
by DisconnectingDrone inpart of my job involves calculating what businesses in the uk are doing and forecasting growth and reasons behind the changes.. applying my knowledge with other bits of info here is what i suspect is going on.
firstly, the magazines, we get a public and a private edition of the wt and 1 awake.
that's 53.5 million less per month to print!

I for one know of some "new" old light that they need to reintroduce and that being the appointed times of nations dogma which they changed , according to posters on the board , back to superior authorities being man made governments .This would have been blaspheme and treason to the kingdom crown . They did that around the time they decided to associate with the UN , from what I understand . Romans 13 does not apply any more .

Is the Watchtower really wrong according to your standards?
by hamilcarr in'we all have a priori knowledge, so we can't claim objective knowledge.
by the way, our senses only observe part of reality.
then, how do you dare asserting that you're right?

Ok so who's the apostate that thinks they are so wise as to argue with the WTBTS? You know who you are .LOL Like zoinks if the FDS isn't the slave in charge of spiritual matters then what have they been saying for the past hundred plus years ?Now they say the GC is just as wise? Unbelievable .I can agree on one point and that is all religions are extremely devoid of "Truth". They only care about political influence and control over peoples money .

Sunday's public talk...
by kzjw inwent with the wife this week for the public talk (i simply will not sit through the watchtower study), the subject was about how poorly governments are taking care of thier people in disasters.
the speaker(who had a british accent) started by saying "burma(myanmar) had 2 tsunamis and the government sent flat screen tv's as aid for the refugees..." needless to say this dillweed lost me for the next 30 minutes of his talk about how man can't care for god's people.
i left during the study as always and returned at the end of the meeting, still burning over the glaring lie told by this "brother" which by the way no one even batted an eye in the congregation!

Yah LOL the national enquirer has the first photos of the ark on top of mount ararat .They might as well use crap like that as research material since most of the stuff the tower has printed is just as fictional and far fetched .

From what I've seen on the tele they are holding back aid and making people suffer more than they need too . Nothing about flat screen TVs tho.

What happened when Jesus didn't COME BACK QUICKLY? History shows...
by Terry inclearly people in the 1st century who were jews and christians obviously felt they were living in the last days.. they lived in the roman empire.
jewish apocalypticism influenced such thinking.
it was a time of foment, upheaval and insecurity.

Yah they did screw everybody with the sudden switch on the superior authorities , if the world ended invisibly in 1914 then that means that the worlds political leaders no longer would have superior authority . I only saw that on the board here in the last couple of years .I haven't seen that in a publication from what I can recall .I think blondie wrote about that. The I am coming quickly part only makes sense since he apparently didn't yet still talks about destroying all his enemies in Revelation . Right now people have to suffer evil to prove themselves righteous .IMO
