I imagine that since most are faking their hours in field service, coming up with original fake situations is pretty hard to do unless you are really good with fiction . It'd be more like donut shop stories if they actually shared some personal experiences or maybe they switched to starbucks since they've been outed about the donut shops...

Why such boring & canned answers at the WT Study?
by navytownroger inback in th 1980s, the answers at the watchtower study & the book study seemed much more interesting.
more personal experiences that somehow related to the question being asked.
nowadays it seems all answers are just repeated from the text, or consist of reading a bible verse.

It did kind of amaze me that the society and jws do practice the six month shunning but if you look at this article we see it mentioned to show mercy and compassion and be in a forgiving mood all the time never letting petty disputes go unsettled for any length of time .IMO tho I've seen some pretty serious offenses such as elders committing adultery and doing the six month deal where as somebody with a way less offense would have the same .I personally think adultery should be permanent dismissal from the church all together as Jesus pointed out that those doing it are liable to the fiery Gehenna .

Dropped from my Bible Study like a hot potato

i was also attending meetings, but never went out in field service.
during a recent study, i told the conductor that i didn't believe in the 'annointed' & didn't believe the fds had a 'hotline' to jehovah.

yah I argued when I studied because their dogma didn't make sense at times and was "marked" or something since everybody's attitude seemed to change and there were comments made during talks that you know are directed at you and if you say anything people will just tell you , you're paranoid. Since it's ok to lie to non members.

announcement at service meeting
by heathen ini actually went to the service meeting last night and low and behold the announcement was about the wtbts not charging interest on the loans on kingdom halls anymore but they still had to pay back the principle balance , i never knew they charged interest but think that it was a very dishonest thing for them to do to begin with .
you have to borrow money to pay for a building that the wtbts owns?
to charge interest is a very worldly practice since it was against mosaic law to do so and clearly jesus would never have asked anything of the sort .

so which is it , did the WTBTS settle out of court or did this thing actually go to trial? I do stand by my statement of the family or legal guardian of a child not doing something to protect the child. In the catholic system the church is the legal guardian of the orphans thereby placing the guilt on the church for not protecting them .

Yah really good on the solomon being so tired of being wealthy stuff ,gee maybe he should have tried the other side of it instead of being a rich A-hole .
