Will firing the DOs be the first step to a new Watchtower?
by Juan Viejo2 inagainst my better judgement, i've decided to share the following as a response to guy pierce passing and the announcement of the elimination of district overseers later this year.. late in january (2014) i got an email from one of my contacts (a fader) who served at bethel for several years, but is no longer at wt hq.
he still has a lot of close contacts within the service department and in other departments at patterson and knows people in all of the ny offices.
i kept this email set aside on a flash drive and haven't shared it with anyone - figuring i'd publish an article about it later this year when i had more time to do it right.

yessir I do. Unless direct eye contact is made, I prefer to bolt. I've been inactive lately and can't stand the "we miss you at the meetings" BS line + ridiculous small talk. Waste of everyones time!

Bizarre comment about jw.org at SAD
by sir82 inrecently attended a sad.. bethel speaker was gushing about the wt's embrace of new technology, in the part of his talk warning about "apostate" web sites.. a loose summary of his comments:.
"and the brothers at headquarters have made it very safe for you to go to our website.
in fact, the brothers talked to the folks at google, and they made a special arrangement so that when you type in 'j w period' into the google search engine, it automatically shows you the jw.org website.

addendum...
so apperantly if you type JW. (without hitting enter) it auto completes the search with JWFACTS being the 4th result down...but if you hit enter after typing JW. it is as Sir82 said no appearant "appostate" stuff.

I just tried typing in " JW." (J and ah Dubyoo and ah period) into a google search bar and the fourth result was non other that JW Facts !!!! Still on the front page! Good job...way to keep us "safe" there GB.

by justmeok ini heard from a reliable source that there will be no more 2 day assemblies, but instead 2 one days each year.
anyone heard this yet?

by tresdecu incurious why god confused the languages back in nimrods day for all that they might accomplish working together...building "tall" buildings etc.... i mean have you seen some of the sky scrapers these days?!?

why does't he fracture spoken language some more to stop all this fricken technology.. and now with google translate anyone can talk to anyone ;-).

Laika....I totally agree with your thoughts above. I felt EXACTLY the same way many times when I conducted a BS or weekday meeting for FS. I have no problem saying that women can do so many things better than us "brothers".
Strange that a perfect creator would not allow another more qualified human do do something simply for lacking a certain appendage.

so, so glad I never made that final small step to elder...I was sooo close. Looking back, I am so lucky I never made it.
I wonder what the old me would have thought seeing these videos 7 years ago...
