How many use iPads or tablets in your cong?
by stuckinarut2 ina question for those that still attend meetings.... how many use tablets or ipads in your hall?.
i did roving microphones this week, and i counted 43 people (variety of ages) out of an audience of 98!.
just curious....

My cong. that I go to 40% of the time...seems to be at about 50-60% tablet usage. Many seem to think they need to spend the extra 200-300 for an ipad too. JWs are not good at research, if they hear a few elders say an ipad works well for them, they just go buy one. IMO Android is way better.

by tim hooper intattoos may look great for a while on a young person, but as you get older they'll just look plain stupid.
your credibility will fade as you and your tattoo age together.
your skin will be permanently stuck in a timewarp, like some old newspaper headline that once meant something but later becomes meaningless.

Never in all my years of being a JW did I hear congo picniks were "forbidden" kind of a dramatic word too, if you ask me. "My" cong just had one last month, and my former cong had one too.
What made you think that? Maybe regionally large get togethers are frowned upon, but that is a lot different than "forbidden"

Pixar the production company is jealous of Caleb and Sophia video's
by life is to short inso said the co last night.. apparently a jw was on a flight and just happend to sit next to some big wig from pixar and when the man from pixar heard that he was a jw the pixar man just gushed over what great work that the watchtower has done in producing the caleb video's.
he siad he only wished pixar could do such great work.
the co said we are able to do it because we have free labor and jehovah behind us.. my husband stayed home from the meeting but wanted to tie in by phone and that is what the co said in his talk.. the co also talked about all the changes that have happened in the last ten years and how if some of the friends did not like it they needed and to quote him "they just needed to get over it" these changes are going to happned period.

I thought this was a joke when I clicked on it...the fact that a DUB (a CO for that matter) even uttered these words is so unbelievably ridiculous. That's like saying that Robert DeNiro was a little jealous of the lead actor in the Drama this years. lol.
LITS, no worries...I can't believe you would worry about getting slammed for listening to a meeting. I am in the same boat as you! We all just do what we can. Thank you for posting this, it's always humerous to see just how delusional some JDUBS are.
