I am intrigued...dont have time to sift through hundreds of posts and figure it out myself, but could you tell me what was the tipping point for your wife, cause as you mentioned in your 1st post "... she is completely devout as are her family."

hello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.
many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.
well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.

Maybe a 1/4 -1/3 of active dubs will think it's cheesy, but the rest are lapping this stuff up. The changes are being seen as positive.

Never thought I'd be into a Zombie show...I waited a couple of years before giving it a try. It's a great show. Suspense, & wonderful character development / writing.

has watching religious tv made by moonies, evangelists, mormons or scientologists made you seriously reflect on spirituality?

just reviewed the cd-rom to get the historical view on blind obedience.. suprisingly, the wt has had some flip-flopping ideas on this.. should we 'blindly obey'?no - w63 2/1 p. 73 par.

and as we consider these commands of god, it is not just blind obedience that is required but, rather, seeking with 'our whole mind and heart' to understand and appreciate why god tells us to do this or that, or not to do a certain thing, so that we may serve him with understanding.
OMG...Thank god...I thought they made a rule / "reccomendation" about not wearing Flip flops (sandals, thongs, zorries). They'd alienate a lot of So Californians and Hawaiians with that one. lol. Read your topic all wrong.

i was wondering how many of you suffered badly with depression when you were in "the truth" and if you feel your depression was related to being part of the organisation?
are you better now you have left or still have issue's?
whatever your experience's i would be very intrested to know (if you feel you can talk about it.).
Personally I never suffered from depression while in the borg. I do feel it now however...I took the red pill and there's no going back. To lose one's religion and whole system of belief is hard. I wouldn't go back to my old self however, even though on "paper" I was happier. Something about knowing TTATT is a way better option. IMO.

3 - 98% sure it's bs, but still go for / with family.
4 - anger / denial, inactive with minimal attendance (ie memorial, spec talk etc).
