No more 3-day DCs starting in 2013?
by respectful_observer inapologies if there is another recent thread on this, but i have heard from 4 different people in 3 different geographic areas (including someone who does advance work for the dcs), that beginning in 2013 the three day dc program will be replaced by a second two-day circuit assembly.
some people were passing the info along like a secret, others seemed to think that everyone already knew.. if everyone in j-dub land is already talking about this, how is it not all over this forum??.
anyway, can anyone confirm or deny?.

Thinking back to the early-mid 2000s, I can think of 15 (approx) young ones off the top of my head that were around 13-18 y.o. Most of them are out of the cult now...of course a few are still there, one is an unemployed, uneducated MS...& another very sweet & kind girl (who I knew when she was a baby! yikes I'm old) is still there. She's a people pleaser, and would probably never leave. So yeah, I think the figure above (63%) is pretty close to my quick math and best recolection. In my congo's case more like 75% are outta there...some in college, 1 or two losers...some working and some I have no idea. about 5 of them were baptized really young...as far as I can see, non of those are being shunned by still active J-Dub parents, even though they are living a "worldly" (i.e. normal) life style.
I am interested in seeing how many young ones get dunked tomorrow at the DC. (yes, dammit..I have to go) ...1 day down, two more unbearable days to go. Dammit.

Governing body member engaged... Again!
by OneDayillBeFree injust found out that the australian governong body member known as geoffrey jackson got engaged to a sister about two weeks ago.
it really shocked me at first but then i remembered how other members of the gb have remarried in the past like daniel sidlik.
what made me say "woah" was hearing that the holy bride to be is really young!

Skeeter...Thank you for that info very interesting indeed! Will be interesting to follow. It would be cool, if someone way smarter than me, made an online database to track active and recently decided lawsuits vs the watchtower...but I digress
I think what you brought out might factor greatly into a decision to nix the 3-day DC. Hopefully someone in the know can log on and post any weight to this rumor.

I think the SAD will be discontinued and we'll just have two CA's a year and no more DC. From a buisness standpoint, this makes sense...and the WT is a buisness that needs to cut costs. Good point Incognito! Cancelling the SAD will make room for an extra CA (formerly know as the DC)

This is a great rumor..very happifying indeed! I sure hope it's true. But as another mentioned the byebye CO/DO rumer kind of fizzled. The OP seems like he had a conversation from someone who is in the 'know'.
Just want to keep this bumped, so someone else out there (maybe a high ranking lurker) can join JWD and confirm or deny...come on' just do it.
