  there was no end to the amount of stupid rules put in place.

  one that always bugged me was "no shirts with slogans when doing kh yard work or at jw gatherings.

  id always get talked to about it when i'd wear shirts with a band on it or whatnot.

  well we don't care that he has cut us off!

  we have 4 kids, he ain't going to see them before the grim reaper comes lookin for him.

  my job skills are well in demand in alberta canada so that's our next move, we are getting out of the uk sinking ship asap, we have family in alberta who will sponsor us so i think it's time to leave and make a new start for our kids, as their aren't no jobs in the uk for them now even with university qualifications behind them.

  if you've been around here long enough, you will have seen people saying how they "gave up" or "sacrificed" certain things so that they could be good little jws.

  what about those of us who were growing up in it and we didn't even have a choice in the matter?

  what about those of us from whom some things in life were forcibly ripped away, things that 'normal' people take for granted in their life?.

  As a sinner I was a NO-SHOW for 3 consecutive committee meetings. They finally got the point that I was not going to show up. They sent me 2 certified letters to tell me they decided to DF me. I would not sign for either. So they made the announcement and then called the PO in my parents’ hall to have him tell my dad to tell me that I was DF'ed.

  Which did you like better: The Watchtower or Awake? ...and why?

  i always liked the awake better because it wasn't as preachy.

  less analyzing of what minute thing some guy in a robe and sandals did thousands of years ago and its application for our day.

  the awake seemed more secular and less dogmatic.

  4/12/06 - My 20th wedding anniversary. I was sitting in the back row at the Memorial listening to my husband give the talk. My marriage, my children, my whole life had taken a backseat to this religion. I knew that night I was done with the marriage and the religion. I have never looked back.

  I am so hurt and angry

  this fake ass religion has costed me so much but now it has turned my son away from me.

  i am so hurt, my heart is broke, and feel completly defeated.

  he refuses to call me, blocked me on my facebook account, and went back to the people in the org who threw him under the bus, called him names, slandered him, stole from him and these were so called brothers and sisters!
