  iMO Allen seems much more credible than Farrow.I recently saw the Danish movie THE HUNT. It is about a school teacher that is falsely accused of molesting a five year old. The movie is absolutely exceptional. I highly recommend it.

  i recall when woody allen split and married his adopted daughter and this originally came out - dylan farrow put this out for everyone to see after allen won his latest award - some people have never believed her story - swife.

  I cannot say whether or not the story has any credibility, but I would like to highly recommend a Danish movie called THE HUNT. It is up for an Oscar this year for best foreign film. It is about a teacher that is falsely accused of sexual assault. An extremely powerful movie.

  My husband was an elder and we had been married 20 years and had 15 and 14 year old daughters (unbaptized).

  I said "I am filing for a divorce, I am done with the marriage and the religion and I want full custody of the girls". And that is exactly what I did. I ripped the band aid off with not one regret. He did not have a clue it was coming (way too busy serving the cong to notice a wife and daughters)

  .. .........................some people are truly in need..some are not... a man passing by on his 10 speed bike,asked me for $2.00 for a cup of coffee... .................................................."uhhh,no"... ............another asked me for spare change outside a super market... ......................................i said i didn`t have any... ...................so he say`s "how about a credit card?!"......lol!!...

  I am such a sucker for anyone in need. I was giving out way too much money and food to these poor people. I finally made a decision to give to one cause and ONE cause only. So I now only give and donate to animal causes. I also carry baggies full of dog food in my trunk for the homeless person who decides to exploit some poor canine for sympathy. Every once in awhile there will be some young person on Pearl Street that really tugs at my heart strings and I will break my rule, but I am getting a lot better.

  i found the meetings to be especially boring from the late 1980s on.

  before that, we actually tried to make people want to listen.

  the meetings were pretty interesting.

  The city of Denver has been turned orange (literally) everyone is wearing Bronco shirts and we are all over the top with excitement. Poppers ... Ball over Wilson any day :) the festivities have started here at the Magwitch home.

  Thank you Billy. Off topic for a moment to add to your grandfather's views on goats......as a young JW in the 60s and 70s, we had a small farm that included goats. They were simply fantastic animals. We milked them and made numerous cheeses. They kept everything mowed. The babies were awesome playmates. The list goes on and on. However, I felt terribly guilty for loving these animals so much. I was under the impression I should hate them for being the wicked animals that they were supposed to be. I prayed to Jehovah to help me hate the goats (yes, another conflicted JW six year old)

  here's a few from me.. no more having to go to stupid boring meetings.. no more having to go knock on doors in field service and waste my time!.

  I do not have to lie anymore. That last decade in the org was nothing more than saying one lie to cover the next or the last (For things like time in service, missing meetings, hiding questionable books and movies etc). I have no reason to be dishonest about anything anymore. It has taken awhile to get used to this honesty thing, but I am catching on. It is so strange to be loved and accepted for just the person you are.

  better to stay in or get out

  i put in a da letter a couple of weeks ago but the elders have not opened the letter and wish to meet with me first.

  i've seen the stress this has caused me and my family as well as the alienation of me from the family spiritually.

  so the question is can i do more to get my kids out of this cult by staying a member going to meetings some times and planting seeds or get out and try to then get the kids out over time?

  The best way to get your kids out is too shove this religion down their poor little throats. Strict, no fun and tons of pressure to work toward pioneering, bethel service, missonary service etc.

  Actually every situation is so different. It all depends on your circumstances.

  I simply walked out the door with my 2 children and they have NEVER looked back.
