  you see ive started dating this girl and her family is of strong jehova belief.

  now i am not i do see certain things in there studie that is true in my opinion but ive never really been a religion type of person.

  i think i want to marry her but i am not a jehovas witness and am not looking to be anytime at all she says that is ok and we can still get married but i dont know how its possible or where we would even do it please i need advice

  Meeting changes - just sad, pathetic

  ok, so let's say you're on the gb.

  for years, you've been getting hundreds of reports from your hired ss agents, er, cos, about poor midweek meeting attendance, people not showing up for talks, crappy teaching from elders, etc.. so, you make the determination - ok!

  What has always confused me about the midweek meeting is ....How does anyone do it? What I mean is this.....I work full time and I get up at 4 AM M-F. How the hell does anyone get prettied up and go out anywhere during the week? I think it is unrealistic and unkind to ask people to do this. A really boring meeting or a very exciting hot date, it is all the same to me. I want a peaceful, quiet existence during the week, free of any commitments or expectations.

  I am speechless too!

  How about that positive spin that they added? If you sign up to regular pioneer, your full time service will not be interrupted. Wow, thank you how generous! And then more blessings.....you may choose the congregation in which you want to serve. It's like Christmas in October.

  For me it is very simple.....We just do not have enough information on GMOs. I am 50 years old and this is the only life and body I will ever have. I will be damned if I am going to fill it with unknown sh**.

  i find the timing of the new mid week meeting rather strange.

  we all know jw's love their carrot on the stick, they salivate over speculating what the new releases will be at the convention.

  with all these problems going on, layoffs, child abuse, money issues, building halts etc... what better way to have your average jw ignore it than to completely change up the meeting.

  My Mom Is Dying

  i just wanted to say that my dear 89 year old mom is terminally ill and will soon pass.

  she is on morphine and hanging on.

  she has been a devout witness for about 60 years and a wonderful mother.
