by sherrie11 ini was married to a 30 year old jw back in the 90's and he claimed to be of the annointed.
he partook at the memorials and all the elders and older jdubs didnt believe him.

Every "Anointed" member of JWdom that I have know in the last 30 years has been 100% flippin' nuts! The very first JW anointed people used to be a group that thought deep and wanted something more intelligent than what Christendom had to offer. They were curious about this new religion and devoured books that required thought. Now it is just a bunch of wackos reading picture brochures and watching Sophie cartoons while waiting for their rapture. -

What were you favorite book in the organization? I know what you're thinking...LOL!
by BashfulAshG inwhat were *your favorite *books in the organization?.
out of all of those books, i liked "mankind's search for god.
" however, it appears to me that this book is incredibly obscure and no one recalls studying it during the old book study format.

Life Everlasting in the Freedom of the Sons of God...... Loved that book. I read it faithfully every March before the Memorial.
This book is all that is left of my JW library (and the purple song book)

I love the push for young people to go to Bethel. Everyone I (personally) know that has ever gone to Bethel learned TTATT there -

GB member and 17000 US$ iWatch !
by sp74bb inone member of a similar spanish speaking forum has found something quite interesting.. it is quite funny to see that gb members do not really realize how their belongings are really showing them as a fraud.
do you expect to see a gb wearing a 17000 us$ iwatch when answering to a court.
geoffrey jackson does !.

I can't help but think of the years when I was broke as a pioneer.....Magnum
This is the reason these extravagances of the GB are so disturbing. I remember literally being hungry, and often all those years I regular pioneered. I was skin and bones soakin' wet because I wholeheartedly applied Matt 6:33.
What the hell was it all for?

Do not get baptized!. You can never, ever undo the ugly consequences that JW baptism brings. -

GEOFFREY JACKSON and the JUNCTION of DYSFUNCTION
by Terry inin the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.. _____________________.
in the watchtower society, there is a point where heaven and earth meet.. 100+ years of historical evidence will show it is a junction of dysfunction; a mental construct; a shadow of imagination indwelling like a spirit of possession.. the shaman who invoke this shadow spirit are seven men in number; an elite cadre of self-described anointed kings and priests whose ultimate destination is heaven itself.. or so they are eager to insist!.
while cloaking themselves in the ragged raiment of mere slaves, their actions, words and deeds betray this subterfuge.

His words were stern. They were also flat and cold, not unlike a coiled serpent on stone, concealed in shadows.
Perfectly said Terry! Especially when asked if the disfellowshipping arrangement could ever possibly be changed. His compassionate, Christ like manner manifested itself in his loving reply......NO

I watched Mr. Jackson last night with my super cult minded parents
by Magwitch ini have seen some ask on this site how the active jw's are handling what is happening in australia.
here is my little experience from last night........ my parents were baptized in the late 30's as children and have never faltered in their determination to survive the great tribulation and live forever in paradise (even though they actively associate with all their df'ed kids).
my father is still actively serving as an elder and my mother has always been by his side.

I have seen some ask on this site how the active JW's are handling what is happening in Australia. Here is my little experience from last night.......
My parents were baptized in the late 30's as children and have never faltered in their determination to survive the Great Tribulation and live forever in Paradise (Even though they actively associate with all their DF'ed kids). My father is still actively serving as an elder and my mother has always been by his side. They are old, but actually quite healthy and still mentally sharp. I really struggled with whether I wanted to share any of what is happening in Australia with them, but in the end, we all ended up in the family room last night with Papa's 60 inch TV and bowls of buttered popcorn.
We watched it up to the lunch break and I have to say my parents were almost giddy, they were so excited to be viewing this. My mom had her silver sword and was following along with all the scriptures. My father kept saying how beautiful every single scripture was....even a few tears of appreciation for this unexpected spiritual feast. They were jumping in and shouting out the answers to questions that Mr. Jackson was trying to get out of answering (they were totally oblivious to what Jackson was really doing - they just wanted to help him out a little). I heard things like "What an incredible witness to the world" and "Who else could answer like that from the bible?" and "These brothers that Jehovah is using are unbelievable" (Yeah...I can agree with that last one). More words of appreciation and talk of how different we are from the world, and the "TWOOF" and more "TWOOF"
So there you have it. A summary of what a couple of old JW's think of what is taking place in Australia. I kept quiet....it is not worth discussing at this stage in their life.

My personal favorite exchange last night was when they were discussing young people getting baptized. Jackson said he knows witnesses that were baptized as young as 11 and have stayed faithful to the organization all their life. Mr. Stewart replied something to the effect of........"Yes, isn't that because there is no way to leave?"
