  NPR Broadcast on JW Pedophile Issue 7/20

  new hampshire public radio broadcast another scathing report on the witnesses' pedophile problem early this morning on a program called reporting religion.

  i think the show is a bbc program, and may be somewhat connected to the panorama broadcast.

  i would imagine the program was or will be aired on any number of npr stations across the country this weekend, so check it out.. .

  What is the toll of rejection to JW's?

  what is the toll of rejection to jw's?.

  growing up as a witness you face rejection at every corner.. you go to school aged 5 and soon you are invited to a bithday party.you run home excited, but your parents say you cant go , a tell you to say you are a jehovahs witness.after that you friends are never the same , they treat you as someone different.some won't even be your friends anymore.you go through school having to miss holidays , religious services etc, and you can tell the teachers think you're odd.if your lucky enought to be quite a well balanced personality it may not effect you that much.or does it?.

  do the scars of rejection dig deeper than you think?.

  Hi Mary,
  when i read your post it sounded just like when i was kid. I was just thinking how much it really has affected how i am today. I have a great job, wonderful boyfriend,and nice things.My boyfreind tells me he loves me every day, yet I have a hard time believing it at times, I think sometimes that i am unworthy of his love.I worry that my boss will some day fire me, even tho he gives me no indication that he will.I feel like I don't deserve the nice things i have and that one day I will lose everything.
  I often wonder what I would be like today if i never was a JW.

  Panorama print-out?

  i've been away for some days; the dateline program was possible to read as a print-out or file where the spoken words were to be found on print.

  (i am sure there exists a simple word for this, but as i don't know it, please excuse this lame attempt of trying to explain what i mean ...) since the panorama now has been aired, is the text somewhere to be found in the same fashion?

  Did John Denver hate the Witnesses?

  i remember hearing stories as a kid that john denver would ask all the witnesses present at his concerts to stand.

  and, then after they stood, he would play the national anthem.

  any truth to this?

  I never heard that paticular story...however I do rememmber hearing that he did'nt like having them knock on his door and he let them know in a not so nice way (he yelled at them)
