  i've been thinking about all the talk of economic crisis in the media lately.

  my jw elder dad is full of woe.

  how long do you think it will be before the wt comes out with an economic headline using the fear to convince people of the time of the end.

  The Witnesses are just too small

  i honestly do not think, even if the bible were real and christianity was not a joke, that the witness are a big enough organization to represent any significant part of any prophesy.

  i think that a sign of any good cult, is to try and make their small numbers actually seem like they matter.

  when in reality, much of the world has no clue who they are and those who do, do not even care about them or see them as anything other then a group of nut cases.

  as jws we were no doubt staunch creationists.

  but how do you feel now??

  do you still opt for creation or do you now feel evolution offers the right answer.

  New Tract Campaign 0ct/Nov

  there is a new tract campaign starting the end of october 08. the title of the tract is "do you want to know the truth".

  you can't make this stuff up!

  focus is to be on starting bible studies.

  not sure if this belongs here but i have a question.

  about 7-8 months ago, i sent a letter to brooklyn about their quotes in the creator books (before i realised that so had just about everyone else).

  anyway when they eventually did reply they did so through the branch in this country.

  i was going to post this in the thread about what one comment helped you see the light but it became a bit too long and i thought the subject might be interesting in it's own right.

  i've been hanging around for a while feeling like i should tell my story and this thread has caught me at a good time.

  i was born in to the religion, baptized at 15, reproved at 17, married at 22, ministerial servant at 25. i'd had questions in my late teens and twenties but i convinced myself that i loved jehovah and wanted to stay and so i squashed those feelings.

  Do not Disassociate, Anull your baptism

  i am now a jedi, so trust me on this.. .

  why dis-associate, you are just playing by the wts rules?

  how can you dis-associate anyway, you never thought you were baptised as a watchtower society member, you thought your dedication was to god, so why formally disassociate from something you did not formally join?
