I was at a CA in Salisbury NC that cancelled the afternoon session on sunday because of snow. I was so happy it cancelled and that I got to drive in the snow on the way home in my Toyota 4runner 4wd!

if it was seriously snowing and the weatherman suggested to stay in because of the conditions, i rarely went to the meeting.

Jw's assume that "worldly" people are only thankful on Thanksgiving, they are completely wrong on that. There is nothing wrong with Thanksgiving and that is why many Jw's do celebrate it even though they have their excuses for having turkey that day. Of course some may have it on friday but they still mimic what is done on Thanksgiving day.

Beginning on JWN
by Thunderinus ini left the jws three years ago after having done extensive research through the internet where fortunately one can find an enormous amount of information regarding every aspect of the jws it's simply amazing how many websites there are exposing their real nature.
though in the end i don't blame so much the rank and file members who are themselves naive and ignorant victims, rather i blame those governing this organisation who are constantly and ruthlessly deceiving and holding captive in a spiritual sense their hapless followers.. i had several issues with them:.
the blood ban goes too much against common sense why would it be wrong to accept blood from someone that willing gives it and without any coercion or harm to himself precisely out of good kindness with the intention to save lives as indeed millions of lives were saved in this way.

what it a slow process or like a lightening strike?.
for me, a non-jw, it was like a lightening strike when i started reading about the blood issue..

I was trying to get re-instated and could'nt understand how they could reject my heartfelt letter of re-instatement. I was not sinning and felt my relationship with God was very strong and it made me question these men that think they control my salvation. I then looked at this site and others and was shocked at the history of the religion! Russell and the Pyramids just floored me and of course I knew the 1914 date was wrong!

by cattails indid you ever experience caution or an uneasy fear when being introduced to a brother with a beard?.
for years everytime i met someone introduced to me as bro so-and-so who might have a beard (and there weren't that many times), my here-comes-trouble radar turned on.. .
i would be very cautious in talking to this brother.

Elder Says My Daughter's Promotion & Job Success From Devil!

she said, "fine, as far as she knows".
then they asked about my daughter and my mother praised her for her hard work and the fact that she won a special award within her company in which she gave a speech for, and then the former bethel elder said, "well, that's how satan the devil gets people, through praise and making people feel that their work is more important than anything else".

I had an elder and his family over for dinner once and showed him the blueprints to a custom home I was building. The very next weekend I had a shepherding call about materialism! Then of course not long after that they came to me asking for money so a poor family in the congregation could get to the assembly!
