  Ever fake ring a bell? Take a long time writing down not at homes?

  my whole life, even when i pioneered, i dreaded field service.

  i was always uncomfertable rolling up to peoples houses uninvited.

  so i used to have this technique where i would pretend to ring the bell.

  Evem as a regular pioneer I learned that. That's why it was much easier to work by myself a lot!

  New version of "Shining as illuminators"?

  does anybody have a copy of a newer version of the pioneer service school book, "shining as illuminators in the world"....???

  maybe even the latest updated version when the "school" was revised a couple of years ago?

  I have the '77 version. It is one of the few books I kept. Im not sure why. Maybe it's cause it has the most notes and research in it.

  It takes courage to enjoy it.

  as someone wise once said, it can sometimes take more courage to give in to our desires than to resist.

  i feel this is especially true for those who have been jehovah's witnesses, but who have managed to break free from the mental tyranny of so many needless watchtower prohibitions.

  how many of us had a warped or in some sense stunted adolescence because of the mixed up views of sex the watchtower instilled in us?

  Well, coming from a similar experience to what was mentioned in the original post, thanks!

  I spent my entire life trying to repress desires that the WT told me were wrong. I did my best to live by their rules but...I couldn't. I prayed, pioneered, went to Bethel, was an elder and did everything I was "supposed" to do! Hell, I even got married, even without ANY desire to be with a woman! I tried SO hard but I broke. I tried, unsuccessfully thank goodness, to kill myself. The burden was much more than I could handle! I was put in the hospital, under observation, and not one JW came to visit me...

  I decided after all I had done, I had to make "me" happy! I couldn't live trying to be what everyone else wanted me to be! I has to be who I was. And it did take some courage! It scared the hell out of me! But I can finally be happy with myself!

  I can finally "be" myself!

  do you think that a lot of engaged jws have sex before getting married?

  i think so, only a few fall into the guilt trip after they're married, and ultimately confess.

  so, tonight, i am photographing a beautiful and famous hollywood actress and her siblings!

  i am so very excited about this!

  i hope the shoot goes well and that we get some great pictures!

  Hi guys! I shot a beautiful and famous hollywood starlet last night! I was SO excited! Lizzy Caplan was in Cloverfield, Mean Girls and the TV The Class. They wanted some photos for Father's Day. I think it came out well! I'll post some more when I have the time to edit them!

  JW Books at yardsale

  a friend of my wife just called her and said she was now ready to part with her deceased husband's personal property and was going to be having a big yard sale sometime this summer.

  her husband, not her, was a third gen. jw elder and she's setting aside his theocratic library for my wife and i to take a look at before she sells anything in the yard sale.

  i told her that whatever she did don't put them in the yard sale because some unsuspecting mind could become disturbed if read unsupervised.

  Adam names animals and finds "no suitable helper {mate} was found for him??

  gensis just doesn't fit watchtower logic....gen 2;19 adam names the animals but "no suitable helper {mate} was found" amongst them, so god creates eve..... is there anything in genesis you don't get?.

  Would he have known what to do with them?

  I want to know, who explained sex to him? And did he have the urge to "take care of business" before Eve came along?
