Welcoming International Delegates for London 2014 IC
by Da.Furious ini had the pleasure of joining jw's on the weekend to greet the international delegates who are attending the london 2014 international convention at twickenham.. nothing interesting, just waiting for someone with a badge to come through the doors and all will cheer!
the interesting part is how they are behaving:.
1- the overseer: looked really bored, trying to impress surroundings by talking loud and how he can talk to immigration and check on passengers.

Wars of Religion - THE TIMES - What a JW will think
by Da.Furious inlink to the newspaper front page on bbc:.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-the-papers-28699852.
reason i started this topic is related on how the wts/jw's will react or jump onto this piece of news.. in previous years where un or some nation condemned the vatican, jw's start jumping into conclusion the end is near the great tribulation is starting.

Recent refinements / changes in WTS
by Da.Furious inwe had our co visit and on his second talk he mentioned we need to be a pillar and support of the truth.
we can do this by accepting and working with all the changes, refinements and the speed of jehovahs organisation moving forward.. he listed the refinements and changes that occurred in the last couple of years:.
1- study edition of wt - allows the society to use more meaty articles and not worry about non jws understanding them.. 2- public edition of wt and awake.

Would WTS use: 'right to be forgotten'?
by Da.Furious inas you are aware of the new ruling that was made by the european court that allows anyone to apply for any old stuff on the internet search engines to be removed basically untagged.. there are several articles discussing this new ruling and how this will impact search engines and peoples life.
apparently a paedophile in addition to the person who won the case applied for this 'right to be forgotten'.. the question here, i know in the us there is the freedom of speech and apparently this ruling will not have much effect on usa, do you think the wts will apply for something like this and request all old material they have published prior to 2000 be removed completely from the search engines?.

Sudan woman faces death for apostasy
by Da.Furious insource: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-27424064.
a sudanese court has sentenced a woman to hang for apostasy after she left islam and married a christian man.. "we gave you three days to recant but you insist on not returning to islam.
i sentence you to be hanged to death," the judge told the woman, afp reports.. western embassies and rights groups had urged sudan to respect the right of the pregnant woman to choose her religion.. local media report the sentence would not be carried out for two years after she has given birth.. meriam yehya ibrahim ishagsudan has a majority muslim population, which is governed by islamic law.. the judge also sentenced her to 100 lashes after convicting her of adultery - because her marriage to a christian man was not valid under islamic law.. earlier in the hearing, an islamic cleric spoke with her in a caged dock for about 30 minutes, afp reports.. then she calmly told the judge: "i am a christian and i never committed apostasy.".

JW vs Jehovah's Witnesses
by Da.Furious inapologies if this was discussed earlier.
i tried to search for a similar topic but couldnt find one.. anyway, i am an active jw or is it jehovah's witness?.
recently i noticed a trend, mainly found between teenagers and older techie brothers, of referring to themselves as jws.
