well, i'm really happy to say that my sister has seen sense and exited.

she has decided not to go to the elders and have a judical because as she sees it, they have nothing over her and she does not need to answer them.. my family are very good at the ignoring.

- they have completely and utterly cut me off.

Great news about your sister. I long for the day when one of our family will escape, but since they pretty much want nothing to do with me, I am not holding my breath. But you never know right... I mean I got out, and I am sure I planted enough seeds to make them ask a few questions, even if they were quickly silenced, they still linger somewhere.

i left the jws three years ago after having done extensive research through the internet where fortunately one can find an enormous amount of information regarding every aspect of the jws it's simply amazing how many websites there are exposing their real nature.

though in the end i don't blame so much the rank and file members who are themselves naive and ignorant victims, rather i blame those governing this organisation who are constantly and ruthlessly deceiving and holding captive in a spiritual sense their hapless followers.. i had several issues with them:.

the blood ban goes too much against common sense why would it be wrong to accept blood from someone that willing gives it and without any coercion or harm to himself precisely out of good kindness with the intention to save lives as indeed millions of lives were saved in this way.

for me it was when my elder dad put brusies on my arm, drug me down the hallway making me hit my head and broke my finger which resulted in surgery...and then he blamed it all on me!!!!

made me go to the meeting with my cast all druged up on pain killers and tell everyone that asked me what happened that it was an accident.

i'm a long time lurking of this site(2 years) and a first time poster.

to provide a little background of myself i was not raised as a witness but started studying when i was 19 and got baptized at age 21. a few months after i was baptized i left due to the constant worship of the faithful and discreet slave and the lack of emphasis on christ.

for reasons i'm not sure about yet i decided to attend the district convention last week.

I see what you're saying, the atmosphere at a DC or even while attending the KH is pleasant with all the love bombing.... its picture perfect. If you're ok with conditional friends showing conditional love (i.e. they will only be your friend if you put 110% into the borg)... than go for it. Someone once told me shortly after I left, you are allowed to choose your friends... as astonishing as that was to hear! I couldn't believe I didn't have to be friends with my crack head neighbors. I have found some good wholesome friends and I have found a few not so wholesome friends for when I want to get wild and crazy... but the choice is mine. Sadly as a member of the borg, my friends status depended on how many hours I put in the FS and how many meetings I attended, and how many comments I made... etc. If I didn't show up on Sunday, I never ever had plans to go out. And for the life of me, I could never find anyone I truly liked or could relate too... I was forced to be friends with people I probably wouldn't gravitate to in the first place. I am not an outgoing person, I tend to shy away from people and my social skills, what social skills… my friend count right now is minimal so I do experience loneliness often, plus my folks partially shun me... but even with all that, I am not going back. You might get the instant gratification if you return, but it will soon fade... (arggg, I got baggage LOL)

nothing irritates me more than after spending hours showing a dub exactly why they are wrong and why they are false prophets... rather than defend themselves on each subject they all seem to go back to the food at the proper time argument and stop thinking.

its like everything said is wiped clear.. .

anyhoo, i am now left to contest that argument... before i do, i would like to get some of your feedback on good ways to overcome their broken record answer..
