DT, those are great marketing ideas. I agree that the key here is to have a message that will trigger the highest response and "call to action" (i.e. going to a web site).

by laverite ina full billboard ad in my area along a busy heavily travelled highway would cost about $500.
would probably get lots of attention and maybe even a news article, who knows.
$500 is cheap and easily affordable.

God answers his prayers by sending the jw to return the money!

How common is swinging among JWs?
by JimmyPage inmy wife and i recently heard about two couples we know who switched partners in the past.
we then got to talking about a different couple we ate dinner with a while back who i thought gave off the vibe of wanting to swing.
my wife said she got that vibe too... thus the question: how common is this in wt-land?.

MY QUESTION is, 2 witness couples sitting in a room, one is an elder and his wife.... how the hell does the conversation start and how does it lead to swapping? Who makes the first move and how did they simultaneously overcome the 'this is a terrible sin' barrier?
And most importantly, why weren't we ever invited to these parties? LOL

I agree with Farkel... their books are being banned, not so much what they are allowed to think or believe.
That being said, witnesses should now be able to go door to door with just their bible on hand to preach. The real dilemma is how to convince the householder about their message without any literature whatsoever? Impossible.
I think this might even be an eye opening experience for a few russian dubs. They may stop and discover how, without their publications, many wts teachings have little to no biblical support!

- there was an engagement party and the whole cong was invited.
- the fourth of six kids, and it was in a function room with no bar.. everyone was allowed one glass of wine and no one was allowed to bring any.

A sister who lost her husband many years ago invited a few of us to a dinner party at her house. Apparently her husband use to tell a bunch of jokes. In his absence, she had all his jokes written out, and was reading to us one by one each joke. It was a grueling 2-3 hrs... none of us could think of what to do... at least in order to be polite! The worst part about it was that the jokes weren't even funny, and the delivery was abysmal. I felt sorry for her, because she obviously misses her late husband.
