wow, i've just seen my wife's copy of the jan 09 new format kingdom ministry.

can they get any more controlling?.

how to handle every part is detailed giving absolutely no room for any personal input or freedom to express any ideas other than copyrighted watchtower thinking.. .

There are only still three songs, one at the beginning of the Cong BS, then the meeting goes on through to the school without a song, then at the end of the school another song before the Serv Mtg. Then at the end of the meeting another song... so just three like before.

But notice that there's a trend to making parts shorter. The Governing Body got some educational advice that today's audiences need short parts with lots of chances to comment and be able to focus on different speakers every 10 minutes or so... errrhhh part of their new neuro-linguistic approach to meeting parts, let's say.

Hey, I feel I have been reinstated on this forum after being shunned and not allowed to post on JWD.

The phrase in the OD book, page 157 is "[Name of person] is reinstated as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses."

Thanks for posting your comment again in this thread.

My suggestion is that you make a comment about your having a person on the program who confirms being a 'witch' in a public forum while claiming to be a Roman Catholic in your conference. If you feel that you don't need to apologize for having her on the show and your intent was to throw crap at the Watchtower whether it was true or not then fine for you, but not fine for me. I don't want to listen to lies about the WT. I would hope your program would be about exposing the truth about the WT and why JWs should turn to Christ.

Would you not agree to that?

And again, my apologies in not having discussed this in private messages with you from the start. I jumped ahead and I apologize for that. Those who don't consider themselves Christians in this forum are telling me I'm whining about it. For me to be a Christian is not to dabble in the 'witching' and pagan ways. Others may wish to do otherwise. I can't, my conscience tells me no. I hope you understand.

You may judge what I said as whining. I don't give a toot what you call it, "dudes".

Kool aid man06 seems more interested in throwing crap at the WT than exposing
the truth and that didn't sit right with me. The gal insisted she was the model
for the Live Forever book's picture when it was actually without a doubt a copy
of Pascale Petit's photo in Stern magazine, and you can read about it at JWS

Many parts of the story didn't add up for me. The SRA crap, quite inflamatory and
would turn away any JW wanting to find the truth about the WT... That's the
real problem I have with it. I'm all for exposing the WT for what it is but I'm not
for throwing crap around, you'll end up with stinky fingers. Rick does what he
wants, but his show is part of his upperroomministries throwing crap at others
can splatter back at you. Does he really want that?

I followed my conscience he obviously should follow his. You yours etc.

Okay... Thanks Rick for the rundown on what the conference was truly about. I should say that your unwillingness to accept you put someone on your show who still claims to be a dabbler in the occult art of stregoneria, or Italian witchcraft as she calls it. Perhaps you weren't fully aware of the extent of her involvement in the occult in recent times, she wasn't hiding it from her posts on the internet so you could have checked.

I'm kinda disappointed you'd be willing to put anyone on your show that can talk against the WT even if the info doesn't check out and the person claims to be involved in the occult.

Definitely not a Christian show, Rick. And definitely not for me. Some here claiming to be Christian said I should show more tolerance. I am tolerant of people expressing their views. I am not tolerant of people spreading stories that corrupt. Let whoever wants to worship whatever they please have their freedom to do so in this country. But let truth prevail.

I do apologize I didn't check in with you personally. I have no excuses for that. I should have. Instead I brought the issue up in public. For that I am sorry. I consider myself a Christian. A Christian should know better.

I've said enough and since no apology for having a witch tell stories in your show is coming then I'm done with the conversation for now.

He did. For not following that counsel and charging ahead I apologize to Rick.

The Conference Call SRA section was quite disturbing and got me all emotionally discombobulated.

Not making excuses but just that a lot of stuff didn't add up and I felt I had to say something.

BTW I did give talks in one of the halls she mentioned.

Never remember meeting anyone like her or her roommate.

It was just too weird, I had to say something.

Anyone who's been bothered by my post, too bad.

I make no apologies for believing what I believe.

For not following forum decorum that's another matter and I do apologize for offending anyone here or at JWS.

You presume too much.

Indeed, I perhaps presume too much when I'm very emotionally involved in some situation.

I shouldn't let emotions get the better of me.

I've been warned at JWS for quoting Ravyn's message here.

I will comply and accept the discipline. I'm editing the message to delete her words.

But I'll leave the link and anyone can check to see what I mention is true.

I'll leave it at that except to say I still feel (this sounds so much like Popeye)
that Rick needs to apologize for putting her on the show.

My posit is that any of such things
wiccanism, paganism, streganism, luciferianism
or whatever 'occultism' it isn't for Christians.
It's a totally different religion.

Be what you wish to be. I certainly
wish you some deserved rest after such
a long workday.

Do I wish that everyone become a Christian?
I woulnd't be a Christian if I thought otherwise;
however, I live and let live, can't be a Christian
and force anyone to do anything either.

But I do object to a presumably Christian program
featuring an openly 'occultist' guest.
