Amac,
I was selling a photo box supposedly from Hallmark, a gift set of lotion, body spray, bubble bath, shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, a lupa (sp?), and the bag itself (really good stuff, but they said it was coming from Bed,Bath and Beyond which wasn't true) ,and a duffle bag.
The photo box was supposed to retail for $29.99 and sold it for $4.99
The lotion/gift set was supposed to retail for $69.99 and sold for $9.99
The duffle bag was supposed to retail for $24.99 and sold for $4.99 etc
The products were good, but they lied about the companies behind the products. Come to find out this company was manufacturing the products themselves and telling us to tell people they were coming from some where else.

Yes I was a stripper on and off for 6yrs. I don't understand your ? I didn't lie when I was a stripper. I didn't pull the "My rent is due, No I don't have a boyfriend, You are sooooo sexy, etc"
If I had a boyfriend and someone asked, I told the truth. I wasn't your "typical" stripper. That's the reason I didn't make as much $ as some of the girls did, cause I didn't LIE!!! I made my $ because I was a DAMN good dancer and had a great personality, and I am not ugly.
If that is what you meant by "Did you feel the same when you were doing that for a living?" I must admit I am a bit offended and hurt by that statement, but I can understand why you would ask.

WOW Eric,
God that sounds almost exactly like what was happening with me at this job.
The whole "we accept checks", but then I find out I am the one who has to pay the fees for accepting checks that they never told me about. Kinda like the dry ice in your case.
That's a great idea about using it on my resume, thanx.

"Shock and awe" . . . my butt
by teejay inthat phrase -- along with "weapons of mass destruction" -- is a term that i hope soon passes out of popular use.
i wonder who coined that phrase: "shock and awe.
" i'm sure they are terribly proud of themselves... the idiots.

After the 9/11 happening in my own backyard, I can't imagine how those poor people in Iraq feel. The ones that don't want any part of this crazy stuff.

Ok, I read most of this so I will put in my 2cents worth.
I was in chat that night and left when the pres came on TV. Vash was a very sweet girl and there wasnt anything in chat that was of adult content that night. We were mostly talking about the war on Iraq.
I allow my son to comment and read chat while he is sitting next to me, he is only 9 but he likes to talk to searcher when search is in chat. He has talked to searcher on the phone too for a brief minute.
I wouldn't let him in chat by himself,but he is only 9. If something in chat is of adult humor, I tell him to go play or use the other computer.
I think minors should be under their own parents rules, and it isn't for others to say what another parent should or shouldn't do, but expressing concern is ok as long as you aren't trying to make the parent do what you think is right.
I was disfellowshiped at 15 and remember how alone I felt ,and wish I could have had a place like this to bounce things off of. There is however a big difference in 12 and 15, but not with all kids. Hence the reason for leaving it up to the child's parent to decide what they should and shouldn't be a part of.
Heaven, I am glad you caught that situation before it turned dangerous.

Well, this is a story I still tell to people who ask me about my JW days........................
I was at this door and I was working with my best friend who was a couple yrs older than me. I was about 12 I think.
I knocked on the door (it was my turn) and this teenage guy came to the door. He was dressed in all black (hair was dyed black too) and you could see alot of candles lit in the background. It was very dark inside, and being it was summer time in Tx that was odd.
I went through my little speach and then he said, "Well if I look at your God's Bible you have to look at mine." Then he presented me with a black book and I asked him what it was. He told me it was the Satanic Bible!!!
I wish I could have seen the look on my own face LOL. I freaked out!! My eyes looked like this ------->, and I took a couple steps back. I told him I couldn't look at it and he told me he couldn't look at mine either. So, I don't rememeber what I said, but I got away from the door very quickly.
I remember thinking that is was a HUGE temptation, because I was curious as to what was inside the Satanic Bible. I was shaking when I told my dad what happened.
Very strange indeed.
