i posted a thread about sending a letter to my jw best friend yesterday i think.

while doing that, i thought about a friend of mine who i went to school with, and we were already friends, but she saw me give my english teacher the "school brochure".

after i left the portiable, she asked me if i was a jw.

Truth........I know what you mean,I am not expecting to jump right back into being bestfriends again, but it is nice to have the chance to touch base again. Who knows what my be in store untill you try.
Jgnat........Thank you hon, that was very sweet of you. I was always told in therapy "the only person you can control is you", so I don't try and change anyone ,but like to give myself the option of finding out what people are about, or just moving on and never knowing. I am the type that wants to know, so I tried.
I will update everyone again.........I have recieved an email from Amy again today, and we talked on the phone for a while yesterday. I was so excited I couldn't sleep, and ended up going to work with no sleep at all, boy was I beat when I got home, but I slept pretty good.
I will update more when I have more.
I had the letter to Jen sent out either yesterday or today, so I will let you all know if my bestfriend from childhood responds. I am not expecting her to, but at least she will know how to contact me if needed and know I still love her.

I'm really happy for you! One thing I've always found is that rekindling old friendships is often just as fun as starting new ones.......

Letter to my jw best friend i haven't talked to in 12yrs

i posted about writting this letter a while ago, but i just got the nerve to actually write it...........so here it is................what do you all think??????

for those of you who don't know, we were friends since i was about 5-6 and untill i was df'd at 15.

Like I stated before, I wrote the letter more so for ME then her, but at least I can ease my mind and heart knowing I did everything I could by offering her an option that was never given to me.
I don't expect a responce, and if I do get one, I don't expect it to be postitive at all. I have given MYSELF (I am not yelling) closure with this in my own mind and heart.
This way, I have no regrets, I extended my hand, and I will always extend my hand. I have let her know that, and so, I have no regrets. If she chooses not to accept my hand, ok, but it was there and I made sure she knows that. I will still love her no matter what.
Like I said, it was for me more then her, and it may sound selfish, but I know the JW mindset. I am at peace with myself for sending the letter, cause I know I have done everything I can to try.
I am not holding my breathe, but I can hope. What is life without hope? I was a lost cause for a long time, but I stand before you, and to many that isn't alot, but to me, wanting to take my own life, it means alot.

I just got off the phone with Amy!!!!!!!!!!
It was like we never missed a beat, and I got on 3 way with another friend I haven't talked to in a LONG time too.
I hope to meet up with them soon, but they are at work right now, and they have lunch dates related to work, so we will be meeting up soon.
They are no longer JW's, and were very happy to hear from me.
Amy is the one who called me, I still can't believe I heard her voice again.
Amy and Sue both told me they always thought they saw me around, and would talk about me all the time.
Isn't it ironic????? I thought they had forgotten me, but I was like a ghost haunting them LOL!!
