  What did you do with all of your old JW literature

  i was wondering if any one has kept at least some of the books from the borg.

  i have kept a few, mainly so i can have a good laugh now and then, and highlighting all the double talk.. what did you do with all your jw publications??

  did you throw them away?.

  I left them when I left home. I burned the rest I had. Don't want to offend anyone--but that is what I did with them.

  i don't know if you can put out a thing on your website for any abuse survivors in the area or area to come forward.

  i spoke to a guy at the orlando sentinel which is a big newspaper in and he wants to do a story but he needs some local people who have been victims of injustice.. .

  I got this email from him today, if it was posted already--sorry didn't see it.

  Anyone have Panoramma program on VHS in N.America?

  just wondering if anyone in usa or canada has managed to get a copy of the panoramma program dealing with jw's and child abuse from someone in the uk and has transferred it to vhs in a viewable format for north american televisions.. it is very difficult to get jw's to watch the program on the internet and a real audio transfer to tape or vcd is very poor.

  if anyone has a copy i would be interested in purchasing a copy.. i think it would be more difficult for jw's to find fault with the bbc program than the dateline one and am curious as to what the local reaction would be to it.. path

  I have a copy on VHS. Sorry I didn't write sooner, I was in bed early last night. You can email Valis about copying it for you, he wanted a copy of it too. I don't have the other VCR to make a copy, but Valis can get one.\

  Will----------you could probably sue, but what is the point? If they have no money then you go through all the feelings again for nothing. I myself would rather them have to go to jail and know what it is like to say no and the other person does it anyway.

  LB-------thanx for the advice my aunt who is on silentlambs all the time is on the horn already looking for support groups locally to see what we can find. I posted on silentlambs and women-awake with this same post. Covering all bases or at least trying to.

  Ok, I usually don't write very long posts but I need to say something I feel is important. I just got back from seeing my lawyer today and was inspired and at the same time disgusted. In the state of TX the stat. of limitations is 2yrs after you turn 18 to report sexual abuse. I think this is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What about the people with supressed memories or the ones who are still in the borg that are afraid and don't have the courage to come forward untill many yrs later?

  What I want to do is maybe find sexual abuse suvivors/victims in Tx and maybe start up a support group solely for abuse. I have been out 11yrs and have no interest in discussing doctrine or whether or not I should celebrate Christmas. There is nothing wrong with that, don't get me wrong, but abuse is a whole other ballpark.

  I also what to see if I can get enough people in Tx to at least write a letter that I can present to possibly change the limitations. California has extended it 10yrs and Minnesota is pushing to erase limitations on sexual abuse completely. How do I find these people, some if not most are still on the "inside" and are told not to read apostate material or look places like this one. I need you guys help for ideas on how to get this out or if you know someone to please put them in contact with me to talk. I want to change this soooooooooooooooo bad for those who wil come after me and hope that I can at least give them more time to do something about it. If I can get enough people in Tx to come forward on the basis that it isn't enough time because of reasons of mind control or memory repression than I think I will at least be heard.

  What is your input?????? Do you know anyone in Tx or how I can get JW's to possibly see there is another way and it can make a difference??? I thought about maybe putting it on a billboard by the highway or on the side of a bus, so that way they can't ignore it and maybe there are victims who just don't know who to talk to see the ph# and just might call!!!!!!!!!!!!

  my family will not be attending the march.

  i respect bill and what he has accomplished, but i believe that attempts to control the march and the marchers, are misplaced -- even damaging for victims of abuse -- who have been controlled enough!.

  the last thing victims of abuse need is to be told to keep up appearances.

  I don't know about Mike's donation thing, but I don't really care. My point is, Mike have you ever sat at a table and talked to Bill about what he is doing and why??? Probably not, Well I have and he is the most sincere person I have ever met that hasn't been through the abuse personally.

  As far as a "dress code" it was merely a suggestion. What Bill has done in the past yr to impact as many lives as he has is incredible. What have you done to better the lives of thousands??? With absolutely no other motive but justice and the change in policy is what drives Bill to do what he does. If you are not going to the march than I am glad, I wouldn't want someone with your attitude representing the vicims/survivors that couldn't be there.
