  I think I am even being shunned here.

  i came to this site via freeminds.com and am really quite surprised to learn that this site is maintained by active jw's (am i correct?

  - i'm a slow learner).

  i get the feeling i maybe getting the shun treatment, which is okay, for i understand that for the mindset from which it originates.

  I have never seen your name before, so sorry if this is a little late but, Welcome to the board!

  As far as the board being managed my active JW's, that would be incorrect.

  There are some here who are active JW's, for example "Sword of Jah" (that is the first to come to my mind).

  I haven't read anything you have written here other than this post, but I for one don't shun anyone, at least not that I am aware of. I do refrain at times in commenting if I don't feel the need or just don't have anything to add.

  Shunning is something MANY of us (including myself) here have to live with from family, "friends", etc who are still JW's. I sincerely doubt that is the case here.

  I will take the time to read some of the things you have posted before since I stated before this is the first time I have seen your name. If I have anything to add to this post I will later.

  By the way, I love cheese!

  well, i guess i work bass-ackwards sometimes.

  i started posting on here about a year ago when i was moved by some threads.

  i even helped to organize a local apostafest last may through the forum, but have never formally introduced myself.

  our son ben is celebrating his 15th birthday on friday 11, but actually it is his 1st birthday aswell.. so please help us celebrate with him be sending him some cool messages.

  he is really excited, and he is getting some cool pressies.

  my sister made me incredibly angry yesterday.

  i sent her a politely worded message asking for her why she had waited 4 days to give an important message to my gran (who doesn't have email, and i don't have a phone line for long-distance).. among other things, this is what i got back:.

  Well, a little about me..............I am 27, divorced, have a 9yr old son (he has never been to a meeting), I was born and raised a JW 3rd generation, I was disfellowshiped (df'd) at the age of 15 and never tried to be reinstated, my dad's family are still all loyal JW's except 1 uncle who lives in Spain now, my mom and my sister are out of the JW's now,...........ummmmmmmm ok, I live in the USA in Dallas,TX and that about covers it for now.
