Anyone from Sweden here?

i v been reading a lot of the topics here and i have to admit it have helped me to start seeing the bigger picture.
it took almost a whole year as a ex-borg before i grew the courage to start reading "apostate" information.

for last 2000 years and even be placed with greater accuracy in the middle ages, so when someone reads information from apocalyptic religious.
cults like the jws who are trying to superimpose fear into people so they will react in the way they want them to react, hence it pays to analise.

I sincerely appreciated your personal Bible study results. I have come to very simmilar results myself, and I have been looking if somebody else could come to similar conclusions. And I am happy that you have. For example I understand, like you that there will come 2 prophets with miraculous powers, like you wrote.
But I expect that all this will happen when it has been preached much more in China, India and in the muslim countries.
It might take decades or even more than 100 years. During that time true Jews, (anointed) with the help of other people could get the opportunity to build the temple of the vision of Ezekiel. And then earthly Jerusalem would become the centre of true worship. But by some time it would again partially apostacy and the 2 prophets would be killed there in the end of their 42 months prophecying.

Advice Please!!!!
by nevergonnab1 ini'm new here so i'll give a little background first.. i've never been a witness and i'll never be one.
my husband is but he hasn't been to any functions in about 15 years, i guess if he did start attending again he would be df'd because he impregnated a "worldly" girl (me) out of wedlock and then married a "worldly" girl (me again).. i need advice because his family relentlessly asks my children to attend and bribes them with very extravagant gifts.
i won't allow them to go so they stay pissed at me because they don't get the gifts.

Can I get help with a question
by free2beme incan anyone provide the link of watchtower year and month, that mentions that the resurrected jehovah's witnesses (all resurrected) will not be able to marry again.
as they will no longer have a desire for marriage..

When I was at pioneers school in 1992, the school instructors told us that we have no clair understanding in this matter. But at a district assembly about 1 or 2 years ago in the theocratic school part, a sister commented on the highlights about ressurection and said that Jesus clairly stated that in the ressurection no body gets married.

'Just as important as the preaching work' question. Please respond.
by compound complex ina thread regarding the wt view of the importance of good works, whose title i cannot recall, was posted not too long ago.
there has been talk locally about a watchtower that equates these acts of charity with the preaching work.
is that a correct interpretation of present truth?.

Why exactly, DO the JWs continue to beat on doors? What is the POINT?
by WuzLovesDubs ini mean...it accomplishes nothing save making them pests all over the planet.
they dont get money from it, not enough to make any damn difference anyway...the magazines are limited to only two a month and they dont do subscriptions any more.
how many people actually are brought in this way?

I think it would be enough to just put a tract in the mail box with an invitation to God's Kingdom and to get a free Bible study. Was not the cavalry of two myriads of myriads explained two symbolize the litterature, in the Revelation Climax-book?

Organized or unorganized?
by Wicaugen ina little background.. i've been stumbling with religion over the past year, making a change from agnostic to quasi-christian during the time period, journeying with many jehovah's witnesses, a few baptists, and even two families of evangelicals.. anyway, one of the serious problems i have with the jw's is following the 'governing body'.
you understand, of course.
but i have a more urgent question.

Yes, organized religion is Biblical. But it should be organized in a balanced way. That means not too much organized and also not too little organized.
In Hebrews 10:24,25 we are told to have meetings. Jesus also told Peter to feed His little sheep. (John 21:17) Jesus also told his apostles to do disciples in Matthew 28:19. So it is evident that there should be some kind of organized activity for christians. But when the shepards in the congregation are evil, hypocrites and refuse to follow the guidelines in the Bible, then this organized worship works badly, like a broken car. And the congregation members suffers. Some new maybe live in an illusion, but soon with increasing understanding of God's will they start to see that there are a lot of problems.
God's and Christ's will is to make the congregation perfect. It will take time. The final result will anyway be according to Ephesians 5: that he might sanctify it, cleansing it with the bath of water by means of the word, 27 that he might present the congregation to himself in its splendor, not having a spot or a wrinkle or any of such things, but that it should be holy and without blemish. (NWT)
Now the congregation arrangement has existed since the first centry and still it has not attaind the beauty and slendor, so surely it will take a lot of time to fullfill the purpose.

I strongly support you in reading the Bible all over again with open mind. Me too, when I realized that I can not trust the WT-explanations, I decided to do that. But to avoid to come to wrong conclusions myself, I every day pray the thoughts in the Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 and additional thoughts. I wish you succes in you personal Bible study.
