Wobble: LOL, great suggestions! I just listened to one of the talks from the CA, and i was jarred when the speaker said "the blood of Christ" because it was in the verse he wanted to get some other point from. But he moved on quickly from that, and only expounded on the other part of the verse that seemed to support his point. -- Also it stood out to me the UNBELIEVABLE repetitiveness of the talks. I've been to 2 conventions and listened to some talks online, and as those on here say, they have only a few points they hammer OVER and OVer. And of course, it's all LAW, no GOSPEL.

Question about Circuit Assemblies from a Mom Who's Daughter Converted
by AuntBee inhi guys, i found a link that was posted here a while back, that had recordings of a ca in december, 2010.
(thanks) now, my friend would like to listen to all of it, as her college daughter just attended one here in arizona recently.
our question is - how similar are they to each other?

OK. Thanks, that's what i thought. I just wanted to confirm that for her, so she knows she'll be getting the scoop on what the daughter heard.

Hi guys, I found a link that was posted here a while back, that had recordings of a CA in December, 2010. (thanks) Now, my friend would like to listen to all of it, as her college daughter just attended one here in Arizona recently. Our question is - how similar are they to each other? I see that it's like conventions, in that all the talks use the same basic outline. So, would it be safe to say that the talks have VERY much the same content from place to place?
thanks, auntbee

WTBTS "uses" heroes of church history only when it suits them to make a point

bold champions for his word?

DIng: That would make a good youtube, someone studying the Reformers, because they were bold champions of God's Word. And then maybe they'd be reproved or something.
Wobble: Do you know what year those articles were published, were they in the WT? I do have the cd, maybe i can find it.

" God raised up bold champions for his Word, among whom were Luther, Zwingli, Melanchthon, Wycliffe, Knox and others." (Divine Plan of the Ages) Um...hello?? Bold champions for His Word? I thought they were deluded trinitarians completely out of step with Jehovahs Organization (wherever it was at the time), observing pagan holidays, not politically neutral (Zwingli died on the battlefield) and weighed down with various babylonish practices!!
I also love that chart saying that Luther was one of the seven messengers of the church, along with a few other Trinitarians, and Arius and Russell. ROFLMAO.

I don't know any statistics, but we have a close friend who is a native Hawaiian, and he has commented that there are "a lot." That is his perception, FWIW.

The Watchtower denies that God is Omnipresent
by brotherdan ini was flipping through the newest awake this afternoon and stumbled on an interesting article.
the title is "is god omnipresent?
" this is a pretty basic christian belief, and i thought that the watchtower was on board with it.

Band on the RUn - Wow, that is fascinating about Madeleine L'Engle! I think all my daughters have read at least one of her books, so i will pass that on to them.
Best Nude Beaches? Hmm, i'll have to order one immediately! ew...
I like Happiness is a Serious Problem by Denis Prager. My favorite book of all time is the Book of Concord, a compilation of the Lutheran Confessions.

Our Readers Ask: Does God Have a Beginning?
"As difficult as the concept of God's eternity is to grasp, we cannot dismiss the idea simply because we cannot fully comprehend it. How reasonable is it that we should expect to understand all of God's ways.. There are aspects of Jehovah God and his workings that are too deep for our minds to fathom."
WT, July 1, 2010
In this instance, the idea of "mystery" and aspects of God being incomprehensible are ok, while at the same time Christendom is mocked for believing in the Trinity, because it's beyond our reasoning/comprehension.

Arizona shooter possible cult connection???
by WingCommander ini was just reading an article about the arizona shooter on abcnews.com and several red flag moments popped up for me.

That's very interesting, WingCommander. They were interviewing the next door neighbor on the local news last night, and asking the usual questions about the family, the parents, etc. The neighbor i'm sure said they WOULD NOT socialize with the neighbors, would not talk to anyone. He was saying that it was purposeful, rather than just that no one happened to know them.
