  Evolved to an Agnostic

  Put all my faith in "Me"

  Served me well for a long time

  Recently it became "Not enough"

  Has made me reconsider spirituality

  Not entirely comfortable with the

  Mystic, supernatural part though

  The knowing it was "Not Just Me"

  Facing the fact that I was in a cult

  Getting it all out in the open with others that really understand

  Venting the anger, even after all this time

  Making the full loop from misguided believer

  to fanatic disbeliever, to looking at it all over again

  What is YOUR bible of choice?

  although i'm pretty much an atheist, i still like reading the bible.

  it's an amazing literary masterwork to say the least.. my question is, after discovering that the new world translation of the wts was poorly translated and altered in ways designed to support their various peculiar doctrines (see john 1:1, etc.

  ), what bible translation are you all the most fond of?.

  i left my chauvanistic po elder husband 2 1/2 years ago (after 20 years of marriage - ten of those spent pioneering as a couple).

  i took my two beautiful teenage daughters with me - he did not seem to care too much that we were gone.

  his main concern was the humiliation and aggravation of having to step down as an elder.

  Now the real healing begins

  Don't neglect the pain and anger

  It's part of the process of

  removal from a cult

  Ask and we all will help

  But ultimately you must take the lead

  My Marriage just ended I feel so sick and stressed please help me. Serious.

  my wife and i split from the witnesses about 2 years now....and now she says we need a divorce asap!

  she doesn't want to work thru it.

  lately and for awhile she has been amazingly aggressive to me.....and pretty much everyone else she knows.

  Shortly thereafter I left the borg

  Shortly thereafter met someone new

  Horrible experience all the way around

  It's not easy

  No shortcuts

  Take it slow

  Get an attorney

  Stay relatively sober - that never really helps

  Trust me on that

  how do you deal with the fact that you no longer have the hope as jw does?.

  i've difficulties reconciling with the fact of growing old etc.

  and not knowing what will happen.... thanks.

  Might I recommend some reading material.

  Order "In Search of Christian freedom"

  by Ray Franz, former JW Governing Body Member.

  Additionally, read "Crisis of Conscience".

  In my view and contrary to JW teachings, being a Christian is

  not something that requires any type of religious affiliation.

  What it does require us to do though

  is to think.
