Why?

why do people feel such a deep need to believe that some sort of creator/god is in control of their lives?

i have never understood this.

Desire/wanting drives people nuts. They only find peace for a short time after they get something that they wanted and desire disappears. As soon as they start desiring agian, they lose peace. W a desire for god, they are eternally stuck in the desire, because there is no way to satisfy it. It's like a ditch form which it is impossible to climb out of, the drug that keeps promising, but never delivers.

I find myself stuck in this rut....I have a tough time believing evolution so by default I need to believe in a god. But then I don't understand many of the things that god does or does not do.

I am a father and I would not let my children yern to answer to questions for years, so why does god let me go without my being answered?

so i happen to be male, but this has always bothered me.. why do all of the gb letters to the cong.

start with "dear brothers".

what about the poor sisters, why not start out the letter as "dear brothers and sisters".

what happeded to all of the people between the time that jesus was on the earth until russell?.

if the gb is god's only means of communication, then how did those people receive instruction during their time period?

are they now all lost forever?.

so last night, our cong asked us to pass a resolution.. what i noticed was, the elder reads the resoltion and then asks for everyone in favor, while he is looking down.. all of the dubs just raise their hands, and before even looking up, th elder says, ok, we'll approve this and send it off.. what a joke !!

why even bother.

just make the rules and tell them people, don't give them the illusion that they have a say in the matter.

Funny that you said that, last night was the first time that I ever obstained and I think that going forward I will continue that trend.

Obviously my "vote" doesn't count anyways, so why both raising my hand like the rest of the drones
