One thing to look for is any indication that they are "suggesting" that people use the newfound time in field circus.
YAY BIBLE STUDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry - only just got my September KM yesterday
well come on, we have to have an elder or c.o here who has an advanced copy... we want a scan!!!!!!! lets go people!!!! chop chop!!!
So what do you think will be in the KM that you don't know now:
1) that it will be combined with the school and service meeting on the same night for all congregation members. (I heard that they will still meet in smaller groups for field circus on Saturday)
2) that it will be called "bible" rather than "book" study
3) that it will be shortened along with the school and the service meeting to run about the same length as the school and service meeting
4) that a new book will soon be started...one of the new books (?I forgot which)
Implications: Will there be one, same conductor for the "bible" study or will the conductors rotate? Will the readers rotate as for the WT study and will the qualifications for readers at the "bible" study be more stringent not that it will be at the KH and not at a private home?
4) that a new book will soon be started...one of the new books (?I forgot which)
"Live With Jehovah's Day in Mind" starts this week, August 4th, Chapter 1, paragraphs 1 to 19 inc.

This was already discussed in the letter to the BOE announcing the change. There will be a rotation of elders, but not necessarily all of them, only the "best teachers".
Nothing was said about readers, but why would "qualifications" be different for one meeting than another?
So what do you think will be in the KM that you don't know now:
Likely, the arrangements for Saturday morning field service. It has traditionally been held at the CBS private home location. Now there are no CBS's in private homes. So where will the Saturday morning field service meetings be? There has been absolute silence on this matter so far (rumors don't count).
Other things to be determined:
-- How does this affect CO visits? There will be be just one mid-week meeting per week next year, but the current CO schedule is built around 2 meetings during the week. Will the congregations go back to meetings duing a CO visit, or just stick to one?
-- How does this affect shepherding arrangements? The CBSOs were supposed to shepherd the ones in their own group. Now thre are no small groups, no CBSOs. What will be the "recommended arrangement" for shepherding?
So there's still lots of questions. Perhpas the October KM will address at least some of them.
If they change it to "Bible study" then how can they study a new book? Shouldn't it be... (drum roll) the Bible!?
On another note... if you remember about three or four years ago they were really pushing the importance of book study attendance, having everyone put their name and phone info down on a list for each group, saying that it would com ein handy in case of disaster and persecution. I guess now they're just scrapping that idea?
