it's only been 2 days and i'm starting to miss all of you (filthy apostates) already.
a lot can happen in 2 days and it has.......job's going ok, the chick got the flick, jw's keep smsing me on my phone (sending me goodluck letters) it's a pity they'd never find out the real story, and my friend has sent my records to me yesterday so i should get them soon.. from 2 days ago and onwards i'll only be online once or twice a month cos of work and the fact i don't have ready access to a computer anymore.
i was thinking about the situation of if someone was df'd for reading apostate literature.
I bet if someone would do that and won, that you would all get a hard on, wouldn't you?
I'm getting one just thinking about it

well as a few here know, and for those who dont i've had an ongoing study with a few of the elders from my wifes congregation.. i was quite suprised when one of the elders, i think the less experienced one asked the following question of me.. what is your purpose for getting together for this study, as it seems obvious to me that your not willing to be open minded concerning what we have to share with you today?.
i responded that his question really hurt my feelings, and that he shouldnt assume that i wasnt open to what they had to share, simply because i checked everything they shared with scripture.. i pointed out that the bereans did the same when paul preached.
i went on to explain that his statement made me feel as if it wasnt about my salvation that they were concerned about, but getting me to become a member of the orginization.. needless to say the older of the two stepped in and tried to dance his way out of this uncomfortable situation, by putting me at ease and trying to reassure me that my salvation was the subject, and not membership in the society.. they seemed to become uncomfortable everytime i used the word society, this i couldnt understand.
I'm so proud of you!

all this stuff about dfing and the repentance shown by those who want to get back in and the contempt shown towards them by the flock thereafter got me thinking: is this always the case?
can a reinstated df ever be promoted?
could they ever reach elder or higher?
Yes it is possible depending on the nature of the dfing. Example below
*** w83 3/15 29 Honor Godly Marriage! ***
In such a case, however, considerable time should elapse before elders could even entertain any request for reinstatement. Conscientious elders would not be hasty. They need to see very clear evidence of fruits befitting repentance. Even if such a sinner were in due course reinstated, it would be many years, if ever, before the elders could recommend him for special privileges in the congregation, and in any event not before the remarriage or death of the innocent mate. (1 Timothy 3:2, 12) We can appreciate the seriousness of this sort of planned adultery before Jehovah God by recalling that under his righteous Law in ancient Israel adulterers would have been stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 22:22) And today, whatever congregations may decide, Jehovah is the ultimate Judge. “God will judge fornicators and adulterers.”—Hebrews 13:4.

in the quickbuild thread it was mentioned that other denominations often buy old khs.
i've heard of the dubs buying old churches too.
is there any superstitious reluctance by dubs to do so?
When it is economically viable superstition seems to be a non-issue. Superstition is only a control tool for the r&f. Some r&f feel strange about it but when they see the elders accept it they follow. And they also dedicate new halls so I guess that scares the demons away.
There is a KH in Sydney (Dee Why I think) that used to be a Church.

It became known that Salter felt he was to be a new channel of communication for Jehovah's Witnesses and that The Watchtower would in time print his views, such as those on 'universal salvation.' He also wrote to a European branch manager saying that he (Salter) expected to be the next president of the Watch Tower Society. Laura French, a member of the Toronto Bethel family, reports that some of Salter's remarks during the Bethel family Watchtower study on Monday nights were disturbing, so that eventually, when a vote was taken as to who would conduct the study, the majority voted against him and for Frank Wainwright.
Matters had to come to a head. Brother Rutherford came to Toronto, had a five-hour meeting with Bethel family members and let some of them read the letters they had written in complaint against Salter. Then Rutherford produced evidence that Salter had been trying to influence brothers away from the organization and to himself, evidence not only from Canada but also from England and Germany. Salter was replaced as branch manager and was given two weeks to move out. (Seven others were asked to leave at that time, most of them being in sympathy with Salter.) Rutherford was very patient with Salter at the meeting and during the time that evidence was accumulating against him.
Percy Chapman, who had served zealously for many years at London Bethel, was made the new branch manager, and peace returned to the Bethel family. But a barrage of letters and literature from Salter, sent to many Witnesses and his followers, made it plain that there was no repentance on his part. Hence, in 1937 he was disfellowshiped by the Toronto Congregation.
