  Got Busted By Wife?She Said She Want Tell.(update)

  i recently picked up the nasty habit of smoking.

  i have been hiding it from my wife for about a month now,(she is still a witness) to make a long story short i only smoke when i drink and go to the casino.

  in lake charles well she busted me and was actually nice about it and said it would be our secret as long as i did not bring them in the house are ever smoke around the kids.. sounds like she might be comming around maybe, i only hope.. anyway i had to tell someone.

  just watching a show with gerald flurry on it and i thought his talk was appropriate.

  it was regarding the prophecies of jeremiah re: rejection of ancient israel.. question i asked myself "could jehovah ever reject modern day spiritual israel?".

  believe it or not the motives are love, at least in my case.

  i know that sometimes jw's on this board do not show that, but it goes the same with some ex-jw's too.. am i going against wt counsel?

  yes, but i am willing to pay the price to help my fellow man, specially if i see that they blinded by resentment and are going contrary to jehovah's will.. why does the wt give the counsel to stay away from site such as this?

  To a certain extent I agree with “God Rules”. Most people in the “truth” are sincere and genuinely feel they are doing “Gods will” or at least trying to "Please God”. Even if they are being deceived or deceiving themselves. Just bear in mind however that the excuse of “I was deceived” doesn’t work with god. (1 Kings 13:14-19, Genesis 3:13). Everyone must test their faith.

  1 John 4:1
  4 Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God,

  At what stage do you stop testing the inspired expresions? Do you stop Questioning and testing once you are baptised?

  Deuteronomy 18:20-22

  The real problem with being deceived is the ability to reason and think for ones self. Participating on this board is the first step to thinking for one self and “God Rules” should be complimented and encouraged.

  Richard Scarry's Best Field Service Story--EVER

  ok so pardon me for the take off on richard scarry--he really is one of my favorite all time children's authors.. but i had to share this field service story with you--it's the gospel truth!

  hopefully, you can add some of yours.. while pioneering in upstate ny, my sister and i had frequent occasions to work in service with a married pioneer couple.

  yes, they were window washers, but that's not the real story here.. they had a return visit on an elderly gentleman who was kind enough to take the magazines every once in a while.

  I always got the “fruit cakes” at the doors –
  They guy who wears dresses ( with hairy arms and sailor type tattoos – he used to wear dresses while driving busses)
  The Return visits you haven’t seen for weeks but there is a real bad smell
  The opera singer who sing at you when they talk
  The women who let their dressing gown slip open and invites you inside. (I didn’t go in ……… much)
  The geeky gun and war memorabilia collector (Who asks if there are any war stories in the mags)
  The born again heroin addict who goes to church to score of his mates
  The lady who took her dog for a walk in a stroller.

  Honor among exJws

  hello all......some things that have happened during the past week have made me think about exjws and honor.

  we all remember 'theocratic warfare' and how it is ok to lie to those who don't deserve the truth.

  so, my question is.....are exjws as a group more dishonest than people from other religious groups?

  i don't know about the rest of you but i was one of the stupid ones lugging bricks around and cleaning them up for the jw's shortly before i left.. how many others here have done the same???.

  how many of us have at one time been construction workers for the borg???.
