There are laws that protect your rights and your landlord's rights. A JW landlord is not above the law. If you uphold your end of the Business Agreement, he must uphold his.

Yes, Season 3 starts this month. I have seen Episode 1 of Season 3 already. (It was 'leaded' to the web, probably by Showtime. They did the same thing for Season 2.0
Prepare to be thrilled.
I love how new episodes can be complete 'game changers' in this series.

we have seen many times over the years where jurys make their judgements based on emotions and not on the rule of law or the facts.
-the menendez brothers after killing their parents were found not guilty by the jury.
being asked why they decided the case that way the reason given was "those boys are so handsome and now they don't even have a mother.
Remember that movie with Robert Duvall and John Travolta, called 'A Civil Action'. I like this quote from it.
"This stopped being about justice, as soon as it entered a court of law."
Very true. The sytem is setup in a way that the courtroom gives you a SHOT at justice. It does not guarantee it. Professional juries would be susceptible to bribes, the same as judges and district attorneys are. I like the current system of unique juries our our "peers". It's not a perfect system, by a long stretch, however. I wouldn't mind some required classes in high school that would try to prepare our citizens to be better/impartial jurors. I don't see it happening, though.
i read steve hassan's first book " combatting cult mind control" last year and just started reading with my wife his follow up book " releasing the bonds " put out in 2000. a few quotes i wanted to share with you in case you haven't read it - and to help us keep in mind how far we have come from being mind controlled when we were jehovah's witnesses.
hassan mentions , " destructive cults are distiguished by their use of deception and mind control techniques to undermine a person's free will and make him dependent on the group's leader.
he adds, " destructive cults use mind control techniques to keep members dependent and obedient.

i knew that my application would get the rubber stamp of approval from the service committee since i had never been involved in any conduct that would prevent my appointment.. i was however slightly rebellious throughout my teens; but it was what i would refer to as a "watchtower rebelliousness".
you see, i believe that there are two forms of rebelliousness among jw youth.
