wallsofjericho: In harmony with what out4good3 says, I would not assume that your employer has radically altered his view of your computer usage, simply based upon the installation of this particular software. However, I did want you to aware of the technology available to IT managers today. For those who haven't seen the detailed reports, it can be an eye-opening experience.

Well leavingwt, that isn't totally accurate. Some kind of management/monitoring software has to exist on the PC or be running on the network to provide the type of reporting you describe. Of course, now with walls employer running intune, they WILL have that capability.
In regards to Internet activity, nothing needs to be installed on the PC itself. If the employer uses a product such as WebSense, a complete report of all Internet activity, searches, keystrokes, visit times/lengths can be generated with a couple of clicks. I've been presented a report with my activity in the past.

Are you pro-activist, anti-activist, or passive?
by cedars ini ask this question because, having been on this forum for a year now, it's clear to me that there are many shades to so-called "apostasy", and this is particularly evident in the realm of anti-watchtower activism.. when i use the word "activism", likely picketing kingdom halls and conventions springs to mind.
however, activism can be far more subtle than that.
just having a website or a book that sheds light on the flaws of watchtower dogma is really a form of activism - arguably the most effective form at that.

cedars: There is very little that any of us can do to help people escape. Those who have a desire to leave will find the information/motivation needed to exit. Those who truly enjoy being JWs will remain JWs in most cases.

JWN did not appeal to me at first!
by MC RubberMallet inwhen realizing something was wrong with the org, i searched online of course.
this was the first site i came across.
the reason why it didn't appeal to me was because it was mostly personal experiences.

Even without this new software, you can assume that you have absolutely no privacy whatsoever. Nor does the law allow you any. If the hardware, software, and Internet access is paid for by your employer, you have zero privacy.
Proceed accordingly.
PS: It takes no effort or tech skills whatsoever for your employer to generate a detailed report of every single thing you do on their equipment.

Moshe received proof of a spiritual afterlife in 1999
by moshe ini have posted this experience of mine before- it's time to resurrect it again.. in 1999 i was in bed asleep and i had a dream- my father and i were shoping at a clothing store called fazios, that i hadn't been inside since i was a boy (closed for many years).
we were looking at some denim overhalls and in walks my mother and brother ( she died in 1991 and my brother had died five months previously).
they told my dad, it's time to go.
