coming from aguest's thread where she showed us the article that describes a "brain drain" that has been occuring for centuries do to "mutations" i can't help but be a little fed up with how much negativity comes from the land of science.
sure, facts are facts and they do not set out to sound good or bad, but instead of identifying the problems of doom, like our brains are devolving, why not focus on the solutions to those problems?
where are the hopes and dreams that our culture so desperately holds onto which actually provides the drive to progress towards them.

i agreed yesterday to engage in the '607' topic.
i've read numerous threads and am well aware that this topic has been addressed and dissected quite thoroughly.
therefore, if you are uninterested in participating, that's fine.
Satan has fooled everyone except for the JW scholars. LOL

If you're going to have an afterlife, why worry about solar flares or any earthly problem? It's all temporary, a brief period.

i showed my wife the new light, it did not go over good.
i started with all the publications and asked her three questions 1 who is the fds 2when did they start 3 when did they get appointed over "all the belongings"?
using the recent publications she said 1 the fds is 144000 2 they started in the 1st centry 3 they were over all belongings in 1919. then i showed her the annual meeting report on the jw.org and went over each point.
You can expect her to assume you're having an affair with another woman.

Life has whatever meaning you assign to it.
Shit happens and then you die.
Why worry about things you cannot change? Billions have lived and died.
Why does the WT Society practice Information Control, forbidding members from publicly reading and publicly discussing "apostate" literature?
i think most jws do not know how to explain their religious beliefs.
i don't think they could explain their views of 607 b.c.e.
, 1914, any prophetic bible books, the old vs. the new fds understanding, the blood fraction reasoning, etc.. do you think the average witness is able to explain from the bible why they believe things as they do?.
Protection/maintenance of "status" is more important than understanding the current dogma.
It doesn't really matter *what* the doctrine is, so long as you profess to believe it as The Truth.
